She is treat and food motivated, which should make any training easier to accomplish. More importantly, Teagan is one bright young dog. Her foster reports that nothing, absolutely nothing, gets past her. She is very attentive. Outside she likes to explore. Inside, she will play for short periods with toys on her own, but what Teagan really wants is to be with people. She loves to cuddle and will sit for long periods if she’s being petted. Her foster says that Teagan cannot  wag her tail fast enough when she’s being taken out of her crate in the morning. One of Teagan’s favorite things to do is give kisses. In meeting strangers, she is friendly, wags her tail and allows herself to be petted. She is interested in people more than other dogs. Amazingly for an energetic, curious dog, she doesn’t bark much at all. Teagan is waiting as patiently as she can for her forever human(s) to take her home and for the tail wagging, petting and kissing to never end. She is the daughter of Cookie and has a beautiful coat with the personality to match. Karen is eager to please and is in the process of learning commands. She has learned to walk on a leash and loves going on walks. She has also learned to “come” on command and is house and crate trained. Karen loves people and dogs equally. This enthusiastic girl is full of joie de vivre . She gets excited when meeting new people. Life itself is a joy. She has so many new places to go and people to meet since she’s still a puppy.   Karen loves playing but equally loves cuddling. Her foster mom says she loves all of her foster family equally. Besides being fun to play with, Karen can show her silly side, so she’s sure to make you smile. And when playtime is over, Karen will contentedly cuddle. She is the perfect mix of playful puppy and snuggle puppy. She is a beautiful sheltie or sheltie mix and the mother of Karen. Both are being fostered together. Cookie is a cuddler, but she loves playing when she gets outside. Cookie loves to play with her daughter, Karen, and is still a great mom to her. Inside, she doesn’t really care to play with toys on her own, but she seeks out attention from both her fosters and the other dogs. She loves both people and dogs equally.  Cookie isn’t interested in chasing squirrels or bunnies, so she will probably do fine with cats.    When meeting strangers, she is a little reserved but gets over it quickly. She hasn’t shown any anxieties and is eager to please her humans. Cookie already comes when called and will go in her crate when given that command. She walks well on the leash. When her foster mom was asked to describe her, she said, “ Perfect.  She has the perfect temperament, size and mix of play and cuddly.  She’s old enough to be out of the puppy stage but still very young and eager to learn.” Cookie might just be the bit of sweetness you are looking for to make your life complete.   .
