Meet your New Best Friend! If you would like to reserve this doggie and have us bring them to the event of your choice for you to meet first, you can do so by paying a non-refundable deposit of $50 to our Venmo or Zelle account (619-918 2142 in the name of Amazing Dogs; pls indicate your telephone number). This deposit will go towards the adoption fee. After receipt of your deposit, we will confirm your reservation and list the doggie on our website as ‘Pending Adoption’. If you decide not to adopt one of our Amazing Dogs, the $50 is considered a compensation for the transportation costs. All our doggies come with their health record and have received all necessary medical care, which includes (but is not limited to) all vaccines, de-wormer, anti-flea/tick medication, microchip and of course spay/neuter surgery. Our adoption fee is $500. Only in California, the fee for babies under a year old is $600. Please consider this not as a price you pay for the doggie, but as a (tax-deductible) donation to our charity, so we can continue our work and take care of the 250+ dogs in our shelter. Read more about why we charge adoption fees here: https://amazingdogs.org/adoption-fees/ If you have any additional inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via call or text. We are excited to meet you at our upcoming adoption event! Contact before event: Sandra Garcia T (408) 477-0553. He’s an approx 8/9 month old 30-355lb Sheltie/shepherd mix Left out in dumping grounds with other dogs, Martin was taken in by an independent rescuer. He was malnourished, dirty, and extremely shy. Fast forward to today and Martin has grown into his beautiful coat and is learning to trust again. He doesn’t quite understand how to be a puppy just yet but he is extremely sweet and he’s making great strides. He’s currently being fostered with other dogs of all sizes and will melt into your touch, once he gets to know you.  We’d love to get Martin into a home with someone who will continue to love on him and bring out his personality full time and have a playful dog that will help teach him how to be a puppy.  To meet Martin, please apply at https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.html  November 3, 2024, 7:15 pm

Story
How this pet arrived: Gordo was brought in by his previous owner on October 6, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Gordo, a young pup with the most adorable short legs and the biggest heart! This shy guy is on a mission to find his perfect home. Gordo loves other dogs and is required to have a social dog in the home to show him the ropes. Gordo has also coexisted well with a cat before, making him a good candidate for a multi-pet household. Gordo takes his time to warm up to new people and environments, so he'll thrive best in a low-traffic home without young children. Gordo's world will need to be kept small at first while he adjusts and becomes comfortable with his new surroundings. Patience will be key and the best way to ensure his success in his new home. Once he comes out of his shell, he'll share his playful personality and offer you loyal companionship. When Gordo builds trusts with someone, it's a strong bond - he gets so excited to see his favorite people! If you're interested in providing Gordo the loving home he deserves, come visit him at our Oceanside Campus today. Don't forget to bring the entire household to meet him! Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on October 17, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:This little trooper is Buzz! Buzz was brought to us after a run in with a coyote that left him in rough shape. But after lots of TLC, he's ready to find his new home! While Buzz has started to come out of his shell in our care, he can be a little shy when first meeting new people. Because of that, if children are in the home they should be over the age of 5. He also prefers to be the only canine in the home. Once Buzz is comfortable with you, he is a real love bug and will climb into your lap for endless kisses and snuggles. But don't be fooled, this cutie little snuggle bug has boundless energy and loves to zoom around the yard too! Buzz adores frolicking around with his favorite toys. Come meet Buzz and don't forget to bring a leash and collar!Shy/Fearful Dog: This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Primary Color: Blonde Secondary Color: White Weight: 25.3 Age: 1yrs 2mths 0wks
