Breed: Sheltie - Golden retrieverAge: 8 months oldGender: MaleWeight: 50 lbs Height: 27 inch Highlight(s): Good with other dogs, cats, people, no signs of aggression or resource guarding observed.   Hi there! My name’s Mani, and I’m a 7-month-old Sheltie mix with a big heart and even bigger dreams! Life didn’t start out easy for me—I was just a tiny pup when someone left me in front of a crowded shelter. I didn’t understand what was happening, but I decided then and there to stay positive and keep my tail wagging.Since then, I’ve been living at the shelter, making the best of it. Everyone here loves me, and I’ve made lots of friends, but I can’t help dreaming of having my very own family. I dream of having my own cozy bed to curl up in and a pile of squeaky toys to call my own. I dream of going on long walks, hikes, and exciting adventures, making memories with my forever family.I’m what you’d call a happy-go-lucky kind of guy! I love everyone I meet—dogs, cats, humans—you name it, I’m their friend. Playtime is my absolute favorite, especially when I get to run around and wrestle with my furry pals. I have lots of energy and need daily activities to keep me happy and healthy. If you’re looking for a cheerful, adventurous companion to fill your days with love and laughter, I might just be the pup for you.I promise I’ll win you over with my wagging tail, sunny personality, and big heart! I have been nutered. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##2288935##

Story
Jjalbong is an incredibly affectionate and charming pup who was rescued from a shelter. His sweet and adaptable personality has helped him settle into new environments quickly and easily. With his unique leopard-like coat pattern and short legs, Jjalbong is as adorable as he is special. At just 11 months old, Jjalbong is still a playful puppy who loves spending time with other dogs. He gets along wonderfully with them, and his friendly demeanor makes him irresistible to both humans and other pups. Even when other dogs bark or nibble at him, Jjalbong remains unbothered and approaches them with enthusiasm. While his playfulness might feel a bit intense for some dogs, he thrives with companions who share his energy level. Jjalbong warms up quickly to strangers, making him an easygoing and sociable companion. However, since he’ll be traveling overseas on a 14-hour flight and moving to a new environment, he’ll need time to adjust. Giving him the space and patience to come to you on his own terms will allow his bubbly and loving personality to shine through. On walks, Jjalbong loves exploring his surroundings and may pull on the leash occasionally, especially when he needs to potty or spots pigeons, cats, or other dogs. He’s currently in training to improve his leash manners. Sometimes, he gets so excited that he behaves a bit rambunctiously, but he responds well to gentle corrections and is improving every day. Jjalbong has a special love for grass, often rolling around or lying in grassy areas to his heart’s content. He has no known food allergies or picky eating habits and is fully potty-trained for outdoor environments. While he doesn’t show signs of separation anxiety at the moment, this may change depending on his living situation. He is generally quiet but might bark occasionally at sounds like bicycles passing by the house. A quick “no” or stepping in front of him usually stops the barking. Jjalbong is ready to bring his boundless affection and joyful energy to a loving family. His playful and endearing personality is sure to fill your home with happiness and laughter! Story
Currently in a Toronto foster home Happy has a bittersweet past, once a target for euthanasia at a city shelter. Fortunately, her life took a positive turn when a rescuer stepped in to give her a second chance. Now at 1 year old, Happy is a sweet, affectionate pup who adores people. She cherishes time spent with humans far more than playing with other dogs and loves nothing more than snuggling in someone's arms for a cozy nap. While she may be cautious around strangers at first, Happy quickly warms up, wagging her tail enthusiastically and greeting new friends with an irresistible charm. Once she feels comfortable, Happy’s affectionate side truly shines. She loves giving kisses, is full of playful energy, and even has a hint of jealousy when sharing attention with others. Interestingly, Happy feels more at ease around larger dogs than smaller ones. During her time at a doggy daycare, she got along well with other dogs, though she always preferred the company of humans over canine friends. Given her personality, Happy would thrive in a home where someone is always around to shower her with the love and attention she craves. A stable, warm environment would allow her to blossom into the happiest version of herself. If you're ready to welcome this affectionate, people-loving pup into your heart and home, Happy is ready to fill your life with love and joy!
