Story
Finley is an amazing 7-year-old pup. He is full of friendly energy and loves people. His favorite activities are going on long walks to explore new neighborhoods, playing hide-and-seek, getting belly rubs, and curling up next to you on the sofa! Finley is a mixed breed pup. He is 25% American Eskimo Dog, 25% Shetland Sheepdog, 12.5% American Staffordshire Terrier, 12.5% White Swiss Shepherd, and 25% various other breeds. Finley is very friendly with people, including children. He is generally okay with other dogs and should be introduced to them slowly and supervised during playtime as he is a high energy pup. He gets anxious during thunderstorms and fireworks or visits to the vet, but Trazadone, calming music, and a thunder shirt seem to work well. He's a great pup and a couch potato who is looking for his new loving home!

Story
We do NOT ship a animals to other states. Millie is a very sweet dog that just wants a peaceful home with good food, daily walks and lots of chill time with her owner. She came into rescue after a few unsuccessful attempts for owner to rehome her and the reason being is that they could no longer afford her grooming costs, deposits for apartment and they are having a baby. She will require monthly grooming, and she has gingivitis, which means dentals are a must! She did have one a few months ago and she is currently ok with that. We will only adopt to a family that is in a stable living situation, preferably with a yard and someone who enjoys taking walks and dog park. Millie is a bit overweight and will need to have guidance in her journey towards a leaner, healthier body, which means more walking! She is an AKC registered dog.

Story
MEET MAISIE!!! Maisie is a sweet and shy girl. She was on and saved from the euthanasia list at County for being fearful. However, it only took her two days to become comfortable with her fosters, and they say her personality continues to emerge more and more each day. Maisie is exceptionally smart. She is trained to sit, shake, sit to be be leashed, sit before meals and waits for a release cue. She is trained to potty on command. She is currently working on crate training. The door is open at all times and treats are tossed in for her to become comfortable entering/exiting the crate. Maisie is an active dog and requires at least twice daily walks or runs. She would make an excellent hiking partner as well. She is not destructive when left alone but can be vocal at times. Maisie will need daily brushing; she sheds like a German Shepard. She has shown some resource guarding when it comes to her space, her people or her treats. She is a submissive female and gets alone well with the other foster dogs.  Maisie has tendencies to escape, so she is still walked in the yard on a leash for now. She is double-leashed for walks because she can be startled/interested by passing cars. She is non-reactive to passing dogs on walks. When she trusts you, she is the sweetest snuggly dog. Adopters should be aware of canine body language and recognize when she is uncomfortable with strangers. Let her approach strangers at her own pace. She is responsive to "low, side greetings." Maisie is a great dog who excel in a calm home where she feels safe and comfortable. Meet Maisie today!
