Dukie (A137108) is a 5-year-old sheltie x GSD mix who weighed 50 lbs at intake!01/25/25 Dukie was reluctantly brought back to the shelter due to changing circumstances in his previous home. In his most recent home, Dukie was said to get into everything he could, including the trash. Make sure things are kept out of reach and secure when he is left unattended! He has been known to be counter surfer! Dukie was said to have good recall and to love playing ball! He also loves cuddles and was said to get along with humans of all ages, other dogs and even cats! If you are interested in meeting this handsome guy, please give the shelter a call!01/03/25 This adorable guy is Dukie, and he hates backpacks. Dukie was said to get along with all kinds of people and animals, but he does not like when strangers are wearing backpacks! His previous owner had no idea where the backpack thing came from, but that it was his one flaw. Dukie is said to be kennel trained and housebroken. He will sit by the door quietly though to signal he needs to go out, so make sure you're checking on him! Dukie LOVES car rides and playing ball. He has been known to dig and jump on counters but was said to generally mind well. Dukie arrived at the shelter with some matting under his front legs that required a quick groom because they were pretty close to the skin. His next home should be prepared to keep up with his grooming needs, including trimming his grinch feet and brushing out his luscious locks. Dukie was a very good boy and tolerated his impromptu grooming very well! If you are interested in meeting Mister Dukie, please give the shelter a call!January 25, 2025, 9:11 pm
