Story
I’ve had Leo since March of 2022. I love him and it pains me to have to leave him. But over the last months my schedule has gotten more and more full and my family and I no longer have the capacity to care for him. He’s still young so he’s very full of energy. I’d love someone with experience with dogs to have him and hopefully have a better time handling him than we have. He had anxiety and some fear aggression though he’s never bit anyone. He has a habit of jumping on people and loves running up to folks. I love him very much but he needs more than me.

These pups are in Sarasota, Florida too!

Story
Meet Lisa! This sweet girl joined our rescue with a group of girls from a backyard breeder and is now ready to look for her people! Lisa is 4 years old, about 55lbs and a Standard Poodle. She's is a silver beige poodle and her coloring is absolutely stunning and so unique! Lisa LOVES other dogs and truly depends on being with one or more in her forever home. She grew up in a home with 8 other dogs so she's truly a pack dog and thrives with them. Bonus, she's also okay with cats! She is a quiet homebody, who likes routine, rarely barks, likes lounging on the sofa, sleeping in bed and sunning herself outside. Lisa can be nervous of new things, so she isn't a dog that wants to go everywhere or have a busy house. She requires a fenced yard, another dog (the more the merrier!) and an adult only home (teenagers would be okay). Lisa is spayed, has had a dental cleaning and is vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $300 and she is in St Petersburg. www.love4pawsfl.org/adoption-process

Story
Meet Piper! This sweet, playful girl loves absolutely everything, but most of all - DOGS! Piper loves being outside, playing in the yard, wrestling and chasing her foster siblings and enjoying the fresh air. She also seems to like water. Piper is a roughly 11 month old Poodle mix (maybe schnauzer/poodle?) who was once tied to the shelter fence overnight and abandoned. She's affectionate, aims to please and is very food motivated. She's about 50lbs now, but is growing like a weed and has super long legs. She has stick straight hair and a very low maintenance coat that barely grows. She is submissive with other dogs and they can steal bones or toys right out of her mouth, she truly doesn't have a mean bone in her body. However, she is nervous in public places and needs help with that. She just needs more socialization in the outside world and to go places more often. Piper is housetrained, sleeps in a crate every night and an easy houseguest. She would do best in a home with a fenced yard and another young-ish playful dog. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. She is in Tampa and her adoption fee is $300. www.love4pawsfl.org/adoption-process

Story
Miss Lana Sweet Lana is the identical twin sister to our Lucy. They came to us a few months ago in a group of standard poodle moms surrendered by a breeder. Lana has had a unique time with us in that she feels most comfortable in a very specific home - one identical to her foster home. She needs someone who works from home or is retired and home a lot, a fenced yard and prefers calm Standard Poodles as housemates. She thrives in a quiet environment, where she can relax and feel comfortable. She is with a single woman and two male dogs now, but has previously lived with all female poodles and only men and has shown to really love men. Lana is honestly a dream dog once she settles in. She is very chill, prefers to hang on the couch, likes the occasional slow walk and can't wait for her next meal. She loves sleeping in bed with her human, but will also go to her crate to nap. She's a phenomenal, easy dog in her perfect calm environment. Lana is 44lbs, 8 years old, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and has had a dental cleaning, bloodwork, fecal tests, you name it! Her adoption fee is $300 and she is located in Safety Harbor/Clearwater. www.love4pawsfl.org/adoption-process
