We are looking for a family that is home and can hang with her during the day. she’s been through a lot and needs some stability. She is crate trained. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Skye is a 3-year-old, 45 lb Shar-Pei/Pit Bull mix who is looking for her forever home. Skye loves to be with her people and would thrive with a family that wants to give her lots of love and continue her basic training. She is very loving with people and loves to play ball in the yard. Skye is active but also likes to lounge. She would make a great active buddy followed by movie nights cuddling on the couch. She gives the best hugs. She has been in the kennel environment for some time and will need a family that can continue training with her, she knows sit and will work for treats! Skye is reactive to other dogs and needs to be the only dog in the home and would be best suited in a standalone home with a fenced yard. No apartment or city life for her. With training and support her reactivity could definitely improve. No cats or small critters. We are looking for a home with kids over 12 or adult only, Skye can jump when she is excited and is still learning manners! Skye is UTD on shots, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
Meet George! He’s a tan Shar Pei with light tan eyes, born in 2017 and purchased from a breeder. He’s AKC registered, microchipped, and has never bred. George is fully house-trained and can hold his potty for up to 9 hours without accidents. He usually sleeps in his dog bed but loves to snuggle with his owner or children occasionally. He has a thing for pillows and blankets, often rearranging them to get comfortable. Like most Shar Peis, George can be a bit stubborn, so he may need a few reminders to come when called. He enjoys going outside, especially in cooler weather, but isn’t a fan of the heat and can get overheated quickly, so he like to being inside with it is hot. Unfortunately, due to moving into a rental where dogs aren’t allowed, I’m looking to rehome George as soon as possible. He deserves a loving home where he can thrive!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. One minute you have an owner that takes you everywhere in his truck and lets you and your brother sleep on the bed or next to his recliner.  Then the unimaginable happens and your dad won’t wake up.  You can’t call for help, you can only watch over your daddy until someone stops by.  After three days strangers started banging on the door and finally brake in.  These are people you have never seen before.  In your fear you both start barking and trying to protect dad.  The next minute you have a catchpole choking your neck and throwing you in a kennel.  You are separated from your brother and thrown in a loud kennel with strangers.  You sit in a corner shaking with fear until you finally see a face you recognize.  But you are so scared you keep barking and growling until you realize they are here to save you and your brother.  This is Chula’s story.     When we got Chula and Booger to the rescue they were still in shock from losing their dad.  For the first two months they would only let Pat near them, since they knew her in their old life.  Finally they started responding and were able to come to the kennels were they could interact with the workers and start looking for a new family.  Booger was able to find a home and is living a remarkable life.  Chula wasn’t understanding how she went from pampered housedog to living in a kennel by herself.  A decision was made to place her with Chance and see if they could make a connection.  The transformation of both dogs was incredible.  Chance became sociable and would allow us to leash him and take him for walks with Chula.  Chula enjoyed getting out of the kennel and playing.  They started spending the day in our exercise areas playing and running.  They have become social to new people and are ready for the right home.  Chula is an older dog.  She only has a few more years if she is lucky.  She has been a house dog and has never pooped in her room.  Ideally, we would love for Chance and  Chula to find a home together.  Unfortunately. we know how rare that opportunity is.  Are you that special someone who has love to give to an older dog?  She can be cautious around new people, but given a few minutes Chula will start working her magic on you.  Chula’s ideal home will be an older family without small children and no cats or small dogs.  She enjoys playing with toys and Chance in the rescue’s exercise yard.  She would love and needs to have a home with a fenced yard with perhaps a companion dog so they can play and explore the yard together.  Chula is a beautiful Shar Pei/lab mix who weighs  61.2 pounds.  She has a thyroid issue, so she has to have thyroid pills twice a day.  Are you wanting a partner to watch TV with?  Chula is ready!  You can apply for Chula at www.adoggie4you.org and arrange a meet and greet.  Chula’s adoption fee is $250.  If you would consider adopting both Chula and Chance, the adoption fee would be $300. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 12:09 pm

Story
SNUGGLE? DID SOMEONE SAY "SNUGGLE"? My name is Tilly and I am a 2-year-old Boxer girl who loves, loves, loves to cuddle on the couch or the bed, gaze into your eyes and show my affection. I'm a great hugger, and a Velcro dog through and through. I love to play male dogs, but should be the only dog in the home due to my jealousy and resource-guarding tendencies. I will do well with an active person or people as I've got the typical Boxer energy. I love the beach, love to go for walks and love to go on hikes. At home, I'll happily sit on your lap to watch TV. I am extremely smart and attentive and adorable, and I weigh about 68 pounds. I'm currently in the Greater Seattle area. Please email for an application.

I really have waited too long for someone to choose me. Please email for an application.

Story
Say hello to Bella, the charming and spirited pup who’s ready to steal your heart! Bella is all about playtime, especially with her fellow rescue pals—she could spend hours frolicking in the yard! While it may take her a little time to warm up, once Bella trusts you, she’ll shower you with endless affection and loyalty. Bella thrives on slow introductions with well-balanced dogs, making her an ideal companion for other furry friends that match her energy. She’s crate-trained and settles in easily, though her playful nature means doggy beds don’t stand a chance—they quickly become her favorite toys! Highly motivated by treats, Bella is eager to learn and responds well to training. She walks well on a leash but can get easily distracted, so a gentle leader might help her focus during outings. Though Bella prefers the comforts of home, she’ll need a little encouragement to embrace the joys of a walk. She can feel anxious around other dogs on her adventures, sometimes expressing her excitement a bit loudly. But remember, every rescue has their quirks, and Bella’s incredible qualities far outweigh any challenges! Bella is ready to find her forever home with a family that understands and loves her just as she is. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who will fill your days with joy, Bella is the perfect match! To add Bella to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. She is wagging her tail and wiggling her butt at just the thought of finding her forever home and her story is just beginning. Her next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2149754##
