**Crinkle, crinkle, CRINKLE*** ever tried to be quiet in a theater while opening your candy bag?? Well, that is my LIFE!!! I have wrinkles and creases and crinkles EVERYWHERE!!! But, hey! I am a Shar Pei, so what else do I do?? (i mean besides look so so cute?) Yes, can you believe a purebred Shar Pei tied to a post... only in South Texas :(, that was 3 years ago.... But, I am one of the lucky ones! I was even adopted 3 years ago!!! However, my luck ran out when my owner died and his kids couldn't keep me.... SO here I am again, pleading for the right family to adopt me!!! I want to find a home who loves me and won't mind a little **crinkle, crinkle** in the middle of the night. I am only about 5 yrs old and 40#. I can't wait to be the queen of your home. Must know about my breed, we are great great dogs but have our little idiosyncrasies. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Hi! I'm Dixie. I’m a little (39-40 lbs), cream horsecoat Shar-Pei. Foster Mommy says that I am sweet as can be! I love laying in my Foster Mommy’s lap and like to sleep on the bed at night. I do well in the house..no accidents and am very good about going in my crate. I am doing ok on a leash but still need more work on that. I am a bit excitable, so we think a home with older children (12 & up) would be best so that I don’t knock any little kids over. I do need a home with a fenced yard. I don’t try to climb or jump over fences, but I will check to see if I can get under. I get along with the other dogs at my foster home and want to play with them, but they don’t really want to play with me. When I came to Rescue, my skin and ears were in such horrible condition that I had almost no hair left. Foster Mommy and my veterinarian have been working hard and my skin has improved tremendously. My skin is still dark on my back end, but I am no longer itchy and am quite comfortable. I recently had entropion surgery to correct my eye issues. I was also spayed. Now that I have had my entropion and spay surgeries, I am looking for my perfect “furever” home. If you think I’m just the perfect little girl for you, please fill out an application and ask for Dixie!

Hi I’m Coal! I am a young black male Shar-Pei, about one year old. I walk well on the leash but do want to check everything out. I know how to sit for treats and before going out the door (most of the time). I also know ‘Drop it’. I love riding in the car and running and being outside. We think I would do great with an active family. Maybe we could go on hiking adventures together! I love the entire world. I want to see and do everything. I am very curious about every dog I see or hear. My Foster Mommy says I am the doggie version of a nosey friendly neighbor! I am settled in at my foster home and have already found my favorite place…the ottoman is perfect keeping me close to my human on cool leather. I do great at the veterinarian’s office and am perfect on the vet exam table.
