Story
Hi! My name is Roslyn! I`m here at the Grand Prairie Animal Shelter and I can`t wait to find my forever home! I am friendly and like playing with other dogs. I have even had a few roommates since I`ve been here. They keep getting adopted and leaving me behind... But it`s ok! I think the perfect family for me would be people experienced with dog training. I am 2 years old already, but I still have so much to learn. Here are my priorities: walking like a proper lady on leash, and learning to do my business outside. I`m getting there! I don`t make a mess of it, but I need a family with a set schedule so I can learn once and for all. Do you have a lonesome dog who needs a buddy? Well, maybe we could team up and help each other become the best dogs in the whole wide world!Come on down to the shelter today so we can meet up!

Story
Gabriella is an 8 month old, 65 lb Hound mix, and we are guessing she might be mixed with SharPei. Affectionately referred to as Gabby, she is the life of the party. She has never met a stranger and is very confident interacting with new friends. She has enjoyed the company of all the new people and dogs she has met. She gets a little too much joy from chasing the cats, so a no-cat home is recommended. Most of the time though, she is quite literally a couch potato. She does enjoy a quick romp in the yard or a visit to the dog park but is very content to spend most of her day napping on a soft blanket. If you are looking for an apartment or "only" dog, she is an excellent candidate. Gabby is crate trained and is content to be crated overnight or while you are out of the house. She loves her soft blankets and soft toys! Gabby is great on a leash and has impeccable vet clinic manners. She knows to 'sit' and 'kennel up' for a treat. She does respond well to treats, but her heart is won with affection from her people. She is a quiet, well-behaved dog and has done well with kids, but due to her size, we recommend no kids under the age of 6. Gabby is very bonded with her sister Gigi, so she may enjoy a home with doggy companionship or at least a lot of human attention for the first few weeks. With her laid-back personality, Gabby is sure to adjust to her new surroundings pretty quickly. This sweet girl is just a big, cuddly, soft bundle of love and joy that is deserving of a home to call her own. Please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Giselle is an 8 month old, 55 lb Hound mix, and we think she may be part Shar Pei. Foster mom affectionately refers to her as Gigi and says she is an absolute dream! She is closely bonded with her sister and has always acted as her shadow. She is the sweetest girl and wants so badly to please her people. She is very laid back and a bit of a follower. She will take the lead of the doggy friends around her. She would be happy in a home with another dog to show her companionship and the routine. However, living solo with consistent direction from her new people may be just what Gigi needs to blossom into her own, brave self. For now, she will eat up every bit of attention you give her and continue to be the simple, soft, gentle giant she is. A few zoomies around the yard or dog park are all she needs, then she is very content to take a long nap. With her chill personality and napping skills, Gigi would be an excellent candidate for an apartment or house dog. Gigi is very smart and impressionable, so she is very easy to teach. She shows interest in the house cats but is not aggressive and with supervision and guidance could live with a feline friend. Gigi is crate trained and will contently nap on her plush blanket with a plush toy all night and during the day while you are out of the house. She is very friendly with new people but is bit shy. Due to her size, we are recommending no kids under the age of 6. She loves her treats and is learning her name, recall, to sit, and to kennel up for a treat. Gigi is great on a leash and has impeccable vet clinic manners. This sweet gal deserves a soft spot to land and a home to call her own. Please submit your application a www.humanetomorrow.org, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Meet Lancel! Lancel is quite the character. She somehow has the energizer bunny living in her body. She wakes up to play and like most children, she tries to skip bedtime to play. She loves a good meal and she loves having others four legged friends to share a meal with. Humans, she is getting use to. She treats humans much like a cat would. She will come over for a little petting behind the ears but when she’s done, she’s done. This beautiful character will amaze you with her quick reflexes and her desire to earn treats. You will fall in love with her. There’s just no way you couldn’t.Lancel was part of a breeder dumping situation in Big Sandy Texas. She is about 2 year old and a Shar Pei mix. Story
COURTESY POST: Meet Rocky. He is a sweet boy who has been with his current caretakers for a long time. Rocky is a social butterfly and loves the company of cats, kids, and other dogs. He is currently in boarding and desperately needs a foster home or an adopter. Rocky is fully vetted and ready to go to his new home. Please consider giving Rocky a loving home. Rocky is about 4 years old and weighs 65 pounds. Please note that we don't recommend Rocky to families with children under 5. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Story
Diamond is a sweet, silly affectionate pup who is absolutely full of energy. Diamond is 3 1/2 years old and weighs about 50 lbs. She is a boxer mix with short straight red fur. I adopted Diamond in June from the SPCA after she spent the first 3 years of her life in the shelter. Due to how she spent the first part of her life, Diamond does have some anxieties and reactive behaviors. She does best with other dogs her size or bigger when we go to the dog park. Due to her excitability, she can be overwhelming for smaller dogs and sometimes gets a bit too rough with them. Diamond is not great with cats at all. Diamond loves people and children, but because of her size and strength, older children (over age 6 or 7) would probably be best. While she is high-energy, Diamond loves to snuggle and definitely thinks she is a lap dog. Diamond would do best in a home with a yard. She loves being outdoors and would stay out there all day if allowed. Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m having to rehome her due to my living and working situation and not being able to give her the amount of training and space she really needs to thrive. She needs someone who can train her well and who can address her reactive behaviors. Diamond really is a sweet dog who is great to snuggle up with. She just needs and deserves more than I can give her at this current time. Diamond is up to date on all shots through May 2025. She has been microchipped, spayed and is mostly house-trained (accidents still sometimes happen). This lovable, active pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you?
