Ivy is a great companion for someone who can give her the proper time and attention that she needs. She can get along with other dogs, but has a hard time sharing when it comes to food but that is something that can surely be worked on with her. While she isn’t fan of cats, she can live with them I have a cat that she has learned to leave alone. She loves to play and eat treats! She is good with kids, I have three who run around with her. I unfortunately can’t give her the time she needs because I am giving birth really soon to a new baby and will not be able to attend to her the way she needs. Ivy is very loving and great company! she is very energetic and very protective when it comes to her person, if you have the time to give her that she needs you will love her very much!!

Tank & Chrissy are gorgeous, gentle and very sweet purebred shar peis who were given up to the rescue after their owner in rural Mississippi passed away. They are just wonderful dogs, friendly and loving and very bonded. We would love for them to be adopted together. Tank and Chrissy are not siblings, their owner purchased them from a breeder with the intent to breed and then sell puppies. Chrissy had one litter and then her owner passed away. Wag spayed and neutered Tank and Chrissy once they came to the rescue, Wags also paid for necessary eye surgery for both dogs and they have recovered well. Unfortunately, they are both heartworm positive, but have a mild cases and are being treated. They will be two years old this summer. We have decided to list them now to see if we can find a potential adopter who is willing to adopt them together and either wait for them to finish their heartworm treatment or even adopt them and continue the treatment on their own. They really are extremely easy and just the nicest dogs and deserve a loving home of their own. At the rescue Tank and Chrissy live with other dogs and are friendly to kids and are well socialized. They love to play together, adore toys and bones and are both major snuggle bugs. We have not listed an adoption fee for Tank and Chrissy—their vet bills have been into the thousands between the eye surgery, spay, neuter, and heartworm treatment, and we are not expecting that to be reimbursed but would like to discuss the fee with any potential adopters. We are a couple in our middle 70’s, who still work, and live in a townhouse. Kona needs a big yard to run in and loves people and other dogs. Around here, she’s got lots of distractions, which cause her to delay her outside trips and causes me to run late for work sometimes. Long haired dogs remind Kona of sheep and so she tries to “herd them” so her new owners should know that she runs better with short haired dogs. She’s very strong for her weight, and I’m not aging with the strength I had as a younger person, so she pulls me and I’m fearful of being hurt. She’s a loving, loyal dog but is just too active for us to manage. She’s been trained, is going for a refresher course and her trainer thinks that some of her activity needs will ease out with age. Kona turned 2 on August 18, 2023.
