Story
Troy Male / 52 lbs / American Bulldog x Shar pei x Dogo mix (best guess) Neutered Vaccinated Chipped HW negative This beauty is only a year old & has so much life left in him!!! He’s definitely a loving playful dog and would benefit from lots of activities outdoors. He needs an active person or family to keep him busy. He has not been tested around cats or young children. So in his new home he will need teenagers or older as he loves to jump up and can be super goofy so would definitely knock over young kids. He currently has some hot spots and thus, has some sensitive skin. No known food allergies. He would love a Kong stuffed with treats or peanut butter that he has to work on :) a slow feeder bowl would also stimulate this boy! He’s good with other dogs and he is strong so a halti or gentle leader would definitely aid in his leash skills. He is house trained. Troy is looking for a foster home or a foster to adopt home. To foster: You can find my form "Foster Application Form for Cats, Dogs & Rabbits" at: https://form.jotform.com/211614455997263 To foster to adopt: You can find my form " Rescue Dog Adoption Application" at: https://form.jotform.com/211694512438255 Adoption fee is $750

Story
Hello, I'm Cinnamon, an adorable 1 year old SharPei mix girl eagerly awaiting my forever home. My journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. We're a charming bunch! While one of my seven siblings found a happy home through fostering, my other siblings and I are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit. I'm a social butterfly, adoring people so much. I allow strangers to touch or hug me. I'm a very nice, innocent soul. And I'm an extreme toy lover. If I have a toy I like, I go to the corner alone and play with it quietly without my friends knowing. I grew up in a shelter as a baby, so I have less experience. I still need to learn how to eat snacks. When I go for a walk, my tail goes down in unfamiliar places. I wish I had a family who could teach me the taste of delicious snacks and the joy of walking. I will be your lovely and good family member. I'm in a shelter in Korea and ready to fly anywhere in Seattle or Vancouver if you call my name. Story
Hello, I'm Bay, an adorable 2 years old SharPei mix boy eagerly awaiting my forever home. My journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. While one of my seven siblings found a happy home through fostering, I and my other siblings are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit. Picture this: lovely chocolate fur, long legs adorned with white socks, and eyes that exude innocence, much like a baby angel. I'm a social butterfly, adoring people so much that I'll gladly sit on a stranger's lap upon our first meeting. Playing with friends is a delight for me, and if I discover a cherished toy, I'll quietly retreat to a corner to enjoy it. My nature is gentle and kind; even if friends approach me while I'm with my toys, I'll simply relocate without any fuss or growls. If you're seeking a puppy friend to always bring a smile to your face and shower you with love, then I'm the perfect companion. Consider adopting me, and I promise to become a cherished and lovable member of your family. Let's create a beautiful bond and fill your home with joy and love together. Story
Meet Boki, a lovable 3-4-year-old Bull Terrier with a stunning white and brown coat and a heart full of affection! This social butterfly thrives on human attention and isn’t shy about asking for it. She’ll happily rub against you, soak up all the pets, and let even strangers scoop her up for a cuddle. Boki is friendly with both men and women and has been calm and gentle when meeting children. While she hasn’t lived with young kids before, she once encountered a group of kindergarteners on a walk and simply watched them pass by. When a 12-year-old pet her for the first time, she remained perfectly relaxed. Boki is polite and well-mannered with other dogs but isn’t overly eager to engage in play right away. She’ll approach new dogs for a quick sniff but will return to her person when called. She gets along well with dogs her size or larger and typically avoids confrontation. However, she once stood her ground when a smaller dog tried to challenge her, so she’s best suited for interactions with similarly sized or bigger canine friends. In general, though, she’s far more interested in people than other dogs. When meeting dogs on walks, she greets them with good manners and then moves along without fuss. Boki hasn’t been tested with cats, but she has seen birds and simply observed them rather than chasing. With a moderate energy level, Boki enjoys outdoor adventures but also knows how to relax when the fun is over. She’s an experienced walker and generally stays by her handler’s side without pulling, though at the beginning of a walk, she may tug a bit in the direction she wants to go. Thankfully, she’s very responsive—if you call her, she’ll turn around or return to you. She navigates busy streets and crowded areas with ease, making her a great walking companion. Food is one of Boki’s favorite things, and while she doesn’t guard her meals from people or other dogs, she does have a healthy appetite! She may bark a little when first confined but quickly settles down. She’s crate-trained and stays calm, though she’s quite clever with her paws and has managed to open the door a few times. She absolutely loves playing with balls and has no issues letting a person take them from her mid-play. Boki’s journey to adoption has been a long one. She was rescued from Haman Shelter in late 2022, wearing a red collar and a tag with the name Bokhee. At the time, she was estimated to be around 1-2 years old. Sadly, despite her friendly nature, she struggled to find a foster home and spent a full year at an outdoor boarding facility, followed by another year at an indoor one. After two years of waiting, she finally made it to AKR center, where she’s hoping to find a loving forever home. Could that be with you?
