Meet Nala and TRIXIE> These two sweet 4 year old gals came into rescue after there owner turned there back on them and said they ahd to go when they moved and went to a place there were no longer allowed. Trixie is a Jack Russell Terrier spayed fully vetted. Good with other animals kids and loves loves her humans. SHe is a little anxious if left alone. Nalla sucks on Trixie ears and Trixie doesnt do anything. Trixie loves to sleep with her humans SHe is not fond of a cage and we beleive she was crated much too long . NOw she doesnt do well in one. Nalla her buddy is on another post but she is also a female spayed and 4 years old. They seem to do well togther. Nalla is crate trained and likes to sleep in hers. But she seems to help Trixie feel better if she is around the area where she is at. Adoption fee and adoption app for both of them . You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.One minute you have an owner that takes you everywhere in his truck and lets you and your brother sleep on the bed or next to his recliner. Then the unimaginable happens and your dad won’t wake up. You can’t call for help, you can only watch over your daddy until someone stops by. After three days strangers started banging on the door and finally brake in. These are people you have never seen before. In your fear you both start barking and trying to protect dad. The next minute you have a catchpole choking your neck and throwing you in a kennel. You are separated from your brother and thrown in a loud kennel with strangers. You sit in a corner shaking with fear until you finally see a face you recognize. But you are so scared you keep barking and growling until you realize they are here to save you and your brother. This is Chula’s story. When we got Chula and Booger to the rescue they were still in shock from losing their dad. For the first two months they would only let Pat near them, since they knew her in their old life. Finally they started responding and were able to come to the kennels were they could interact with the workers and start looking for a new family. Booger was able to find a home and is living a remarkable life. Chula wasn’t understanding how she went from pampered housedog to living in a kennel by herself. A decision was made to place her with Chance and see if they could make a connection. The transformation of both dogs was incredible. Chance became sociable and would allow us to leash him and take him for walks with Chula. Chula enjoyed getting out of the kennel and playing. They started spending the day in our exercise areas playing and running. They have become social to new people and are ready for the right home. Chula is an older dog. She only has a few more years if she is lucky. She has been a house dog and has never pooped in her room. Ideally, we would love for Chance and Chula to find a home together. Unfortunately. we know how rare that opportunity is. Are you that special someone who has love to give to an older dog? She can be cautious around new people, but given a few minutes Chula will start working her magic on you. Chula’s ideal home will be an older family without small children and no cats or small dogs. She enjoys playing with toys and Chance in the rescue’s exercise yard. She would love and needs to have a home with a fenced yard with perhaps a companion dog so they can play and explore the yard together. Chula is a beautiful Shar Pei/lab mix who weighs 61.2 pounds. She has a thyroid issue, so she has to have thyroid pills twice a day. Are you wanting a partner to watch TV with? Chula is ready! Who thinks that their fun will lead to months of feeding and my milk producers dragging on the ground :( I sure didn't... However, I LOVE MY BABIES!!! Now that they are on their own in foster homes, that is :) I am a fun gal, I love to play with my friends and I am great with other playful and fun dogs. I am a climber and a jumper so it may be why I was out playing in the first place.... but I digress... I am happy and sweet and I have the gorgeous soft, PLENTIFUL muzzle of a Shar Pei, with the energy of a lab or shepherd or who knows what other breed I am. But, I am one of the lucky ones! I was even adopted 3 years ago!!! However, my luck ran out when my owner died and his kids couldn't keep me.... Hi, my name is Montgomery but my friends call me Monty! I'm a pretty handsome fella. I'm quite the mix of breeds but they all equal AMAZING! Take a look at my pics to see my DNA test. I'm good with kids and other dogs. I'm super energetic and love to play fetch. I had a rough start to life and have some medical issues - nothing major! The nice people at MVPC and MedVet have taken great care of me. I had an FHO in hopes of bettering my quality of life. I had what their vet is describing as birth deformity’s in both his back leg/hip, and front leg, and while I do walk and run a little funny, the Vet has assured us all that my quality of life is good and with the right owner I should be able to live comfortably for a long time. I also have arthritis in his front leg and may require anti inflammatories to be comfortable for the long term. BUT, I have been cleared for adoption and is “as good as it gets” moving forward. Even though I may move a little funny it doesn't slow me down one bit! I'm ready to find my forever family to love and live my best life!
