•Bio Meet Cupid! This sweet little tri-pod boy is so full of love. Cupid came to us with a shattered femur & Femoral head. After repairing it, he never used the leg again so the decision was made to amputate and he’s been thriving ever since. Cupid adores kids, his human foster siblings are 8, 5, and 4, and he is truly so gentle and loving with them but knows how to be respectful when it’s time to play too! His beginning with us was spent on a significant amount of crate rest due to his many surgeries, therefore he is still learning how to walk respectfully on a leash. His foster mom works with him regularly and he’s come such a long way! A fenced in yard would be preferred but not necessary as he’s also learning how to be on a long line as well as working on recall. He LOVES to learn and thrives in a clear and structured setting. As for other fur siblings, he’s currently in a home with two cats and he can exist peacefully with them, although has been known to resource guard attention if he’s in the middle of a good snuggle and the cat wants to join. He’s very clear with his body language so it’s easy to correct the behavior before he reacts. Due to some previous attacks by another male dog, Cupid prefers female dogs, however his current best friend is another neutral male. He would do best in a home with another well established and neutral dog but would be fine as the only dog too! He’s exhibited some resource guarding in the past, and it’s been managed by feeding him by himself in his kennel and he does just fine. His foster mom has worked with him on hand feeding and impulse control and hasn’t had any more issues!
