Story
A while back someone finally noticed poor Neve. She spent two or more years living on the streets of Texas near a junkyard.  Sadly, local men in the area used her over and over again for breeding. They would then take and sell her pups leaving Neve there to fend for herself. Neve is now safe and in foster in the northeast. Her foster shares the pix below how Neve carries her stuffies from place to place, as she would have cared for her pups… Neve is about 3 yrs old. She is calm, likes to nap, is an excellent co pilot in the car and a great companion for a home looking for their next love… Ideally, Neve would love to be an only child. She is indifferent to other dogs and cats but deserves a home of her own with all she has been thru. She has so much love to offer and shows all the behaviors of a grateful rescue dog who is happy for any and all love she receives.  Apply online www.chboxerrescue.com ************************************ PUPDATE: Neve has been in foster for a few weeks. She is calm, quiet and obedient. She doesn't ask for much. She loves her dog bed, a few soft toys and daily walks. She is obsessed with walks! Neve would love to be your new bestie. ********************************************** Neve was found after being attacked by stray dogs. She never fought back, it just isn't in her sweet nature. She had several procedures to repair the injuries she sustained from the attack. Her wounds are healing and she is on the mend. She remains super lovable in spite of everything she has been through, and we cannot thank you enough for your generosity and well wishes. We truly appreciate your support and the love you have for our CHBR dogs. Please apply to adopt Neve on our website: https://chboxerrescue.com/adopt/ November 4, 2024, 4:25 pm

Story
Wow, what an adventure I've had so far! I was running the streets here in Wallkill, and sadly my family wasn't looking for me even though everyone here at Pets Alive did all they could to find them. So now I'm having fun with the staff and volunteers here, going on walks, learning to give paw, and other tricks, too! They say I'm a quick learner, so that has to count for something and help me to move onto my next adventure: a home where I will be the cherished pet I deserve to be. *Cat Free Home *Single Dog Home **Please Note** Our pet listings update automatically every 4 hours, so they are as current as possible. If interested in adopting, please fill out our online application. Please note applications are general and not for a specific animal, and we do not hold animals while processing applications. Story
*Name: Bruno *Age: 6.5 years old *Current Weight: 45 pounds *Rescued from: South Carolina *Adoption fee: $ 375 *Health: Up to date on vaccines, & microchipped, neutered *Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older, No cats Meet Bruno! Bruno is such a good boy and just looking for someone to love. When his prior family lost their housing they had to give up poor Bruno and the shelter begged us to take him, as he is such a wonderful boy and boy were they right. Bruno is Crate and house trained and knows commands (come, sit, stay, paw). Bruno is a big love, who is quiet and reserved. Bruno is absolutely wonderful on leash, he loves his morning strolls with our volunteer. He would make an excellent companion for anyone who take long walks and needs a buddy. Bruno has a very chill relaxed personality and would flourish in a home that would have the same type of energy. Brunos ideal home would be one without small children since fast movements make him nervious. Bruno prefers to hang out with female dogs over males since he likes to show off in front of the ladies. Bruno loves to investigate the yards here at our adoption center and when he is done just plop down in the grass and just relax. Our staff and volunteers love Brunos wonderful demenor and chill personality. This beautiful boy is just looking for the right place to call home.  FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application. ##1185108##

Story
*Name: Lucy - 2 *Age: 6 years *Current Weight: 57 pounds *Rescued from: Texas (currently located with foster in Texas, transport will be scheduled once adopted.) *Adoption fee: $375 Meet Lucy! From laying out in the sun to cuddling on the couch, I am as easy as can be to please! KIDS ARE MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE FREINDS! Playing dress up is my specialty! I am wokring hard on my manners and commands. I will do just about anything for a treat! I love to go for walks and my pace is right by your side! I don't mind relaxing by myself and won't even chew your favorite shoes! Lucy was rescued from the cruel streets of Houston and she surprised her foster family with a growing belly! She had 7 healthy and chunky babies (who are all adopted now) and took great care of them. All her puppies found furever homes and now it's Lucy's turn.   Lucy is estimated to be around 4 years old, spayed and successfully completed fast kill heartworm treatment and now gets her advantage multi every month to keep away those pesky squitos!  She’s a mello gal that loves nothing more then to hang out with her person.  She enjoys chillin' and cuddling on the sofa, binge watching another Netflix series sounds like an awesome idea to our darling Lucy. She adores humans (especially kids) and gets along with other mellow dogs.Lucy needs a home with no cats or small dogs. Lucy would love a home with a mello canine buddy her size or she would be just as happy to be the only pup soaking up all the attention her humans will give. Lucy has been in foster care since April 2021 and is looking for her forever home. Please consider adopting this girl if you enjoy puppy hugs and kisses.  To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs  ##1333380##

The sweetest 5 year old sharpei mix. He almost didn't make it out of the shelter... he was so very sick, depressed and had given up. I don't think anyone had ever told him what a good boy he is. We couldn't leave him him, he needed a chance. It was touch and go for the first few days, but with good meds and round the clock care, he came back. He wagged his tail, and opened his eyes, and his soul returned. A month later and he is happy, healthy and a goofy boy who loves everyone he meets. He is quiet and low key, loves his kennel and is good in the house. He would actually be a perfect apartment companion, all he wants is a home, and love. He deserves to be told he is a good boy. He's a big eater as well, and loves to really chow down on his dinner. A very attentive boy, he always looks to his person for direction and is on his best behavior with proper instruction and attention from his handler. He absolutely loves other dogs! They make him very curious and playful. Sonny would do best in a home with other dogs and children aged 16 years and older. Sonny may be OK with a dog-friendly cat. Story
Cassius is a 2 year old American Boxer.Cassius is a social, people-friendly boy who is all about the outdoors, the dog park, and his toys! He's got a strong athletic drive in him, and is looking for someone who can take him on daily runs, long hikes, and summer camping trips. When it comes to toys, he is all about crinkly plastic water bottles. But his biggest love is people: all Cassius wants is snuggles and cuddles and to be told he's the bestest boy in the world. Butt scratches, sweet talk, belly rubs, sprawl-across-your-bed Sunday snoozing - that's what Cassius was put on this earth to do. He's a big mush with tons of energy! Cassius would do great in a home with other dogs, and would love running around with them. We don't know how he would do with cats at this time. He would do well in a home with children, so long as they are comfortable with his large size and his energy level, and would need to be familiar with interacting with a large dog.To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture.
