Story
Meet Doug! This sweet senior wants nothing more then to love and be loved, his favorite thing to do is to cuddle up with his human and get belly rubs! He may be a senior but he is still a very active guy, he loves running around and playing with his doggy friends at the Ranch. Doug does get quite curious so his future home will need a very secure yard to keep him from exploring. For more information please call our main phone line, or email dogswmr@gmail.com

Story
Whiskey is very sweet and loves to cuddle. He is potty trained. He’s good and playful with other dogs. Not great with cats, I don’t think he’s had much experience with them. He doesn’t want to hurt them but is very curious and wants to chase. He uses a crate when I am not home and sleeps in bed at night. He knows sit and listens well.. Will need a secure fence! Would thrive in an active family that can take him on regular walks & get him the exercise he needs.

Story
Meet Damascus! a 2 and a half year-old Bear Coat Shar Pei with more wrinkles than a seasoned sage and a personality that's even more complex. With his majestic, teddy bear-like appearance, he’s a self-proclaimed expert in napping, snacking, and giving side-eye to anyone who dares disturb his royal rest. His impressive coat, as soft as it is stylish, serves as the perfect camouflage for his undercover operation as a couch potato and professional blanket hog. He enjoys long walks to the fridge and leaving his owners wondering if they’ve ever seen a dog so dramatically aloof. Not just a pretty face—he’s got the charm, the sass, and the ability to make you laugh every time he wiggles his butt for a treat. Damascus is fostering in the Houston, TX area. Story
Well hello cutie! Archie patiently waited for a foster spot to open up with Pei People. He was found as a stray so we have no information on his past but that’s ok because the road ahead looks pretty darn good Archie is great with other dogs and shockingly even likes cats. He likes cats so much he took a swipe across the nose just to hang out with the kitties He loves to play but be prepared as he is a bit chatty in his play style. For all the Shar pei owners you will recognize the Shar pei purr but can be a bit disconcerting for those not as familiar with the breed  He rides great in the car. House trained  Fostering in El Paso TXNovember 8, 2024, 9:43 am

Story
Rusty is a 5-year-old neutered male who came to us as an owner surrender, Rusty was loved very much by his former family, and it’s been hard on both parties. Rusty is standoffish with new people and would prefer a quiet home without children. He would benefit from socialization and basic obedience to build confidence. When he meets new people all 70lbs of him nervously vibrates. He does warm up to women faster than men, his foster dad is giving him some space and trying to win him over with treats, but Rusty is not sold yet. He is fostered with 3 other dogs and is doing great! He does not seem interested in playing with them but does enjoy their company. He is house broken and figured out how to go out the dog door quickly . He Is still trying to figure out how to come in the dog door. His foster mom kennels him when he is home alone to help him have a safe spay and he does great in the kennel, but he has been very trustworthy in the house. We would love to find a home who will give Rusty the time to settle in and become the best friend we know he can be.   November 12, 2024, 4:12 pm

Story
Hello to Mama Gladys! She was found as a stray with 5 puppies. Her puppies found placement but Mama Gladys needed some help from the Shar pei people. She is great with other dogs. She unfortunately came back heartworm positive so we are starting her on the heartworm protocol.  Miss Gladys is currently fostering with a male and female shar pei and is loving life now she is an empty nester. She spends her days playing with the other pei and this girl loves to play! She can hold her own and loves to roll around in the grass. We have discovered she loves toys especially ones with a squeaker. She was an absolute dream at the vet and was a perfect lady in the car.  She is doing great with the kiddo's in the home as well! She will be spayed and entropion before adoption November 6, 2024, 2:40 pm
