Story
Meet Ollie! A sweet and spirited two-year-old Shar Pei from Lynn, MA, whose heart is as big as his 100-pound frame. With his soft fawn coat and expressive wrinkles, Ollie is a showstopper—and a cuddlebug who thrives on attention and love! He’s a playful guy who adores his stuffies, peanut butter-filled Kongs, and chewy bones. If you’re looking for a companion who will snuggle up at night, Ollie is your guy; he’s happiest sleeping right next to his favorite person. Ollie knows his basic commands like a champ and has received formal obedience training. While he can be a little stubborn at times (who isn’t?), his loveable personality more than makes up for it! He’s a high-energy pup who would do best in a home with a large fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and zoom to his heart’s content. He thrives on routine—two meals a day, three walks, and plenty of playtime are his jam. Ollie can be shy and skittish when meeting new people and animals, and while he currently lives with a dog, there has been a scuffle in the past. Because of this, Ollie would do best as the only pet in a home where he can soak up all the love and attention. Though he gets nervous at first, he warms up beautifully and has an incredibly loving and affectionate side. He’s been great with the nine-year-old child he currently lives with, so he could be a great fit for a family with kids. Ollie’s big heart sometimes comes with a touch of anxiety, especially when he’s left alone. He’s currently on a low-dose medication to help him feel more at ease. What he really needs is a dedicated pet parent who can offer him patience, understanding, and plenty of snuggles. Are you ready to welcome a loyal, cuddly, and playful companion into your life? Ollie can’t wait to meet you and start his new adventure! Could he be the missing piece of your family? To learn more about adopting Ollie, please email adopt@joyfulpets.com!

Story
This is Bane, he is about 8 years old and he lives with me because his owner cannot afford an apartment that allows pets. I took him in with a good heart. I really do not want to see him go into a shelter but I can no longer care for him. He is a really great dog, he still has energy to run and play. And enjoys hanging around and relaxing. He doesn't have any dog friends now but does show interest in playing with other dogs when he sees them. He is also good with children. He would do well with someone who is home often. He is a very sweet dog. Veterinarians have said that he is a SharPei because of his ears and curves tail. A bonemouth SharPei would be more accurate. Possibly mixed with something else.
