Story
Meet Mitch - the ultimate underdog turned superstar!  Mitch (or Hank, as he's starting to respond to) is a super sweet boy, born in August 2024.  This little fighter beat parvo like a champ and is now living his best life in his foster home.  Mitch is learning the ropes of being the "best boy" and he's nailing it.  Whether you're looking for a reading buddy, a Netflix date, a napping partner or someone to share your cheese with (he's very serious about cheese), Mitch is your guy! Mitch is a social butterfly - he gets along great with the resident dogs (who are smaller breeds), cats and even the teenagers!  He does well in the kennel for short amounts of time, but let's be honest - this cuddle bug much prefers the VIP treatment of a big bed with his foster parents and their two dogs. Adventurous, snuggly and just the right amount of goofy, Mitch is ready to bring endless joy (and maybe a little mischief) to his forever home.  Could that be you? The suggested adoption donation for Mitch is $465, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.   If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you.  Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost.  If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice.  If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $100 for dogs and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses.  All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age.  All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized.  Thank you in advance for your compliance. ##2244127##

Story
She is a sweet 2 year old pit mixed. I’m not sure of all the breeds she is mixed with. My daughter got her from her friend who never came back for her, so I have cared for her as long as I could. She did come to us ℹ untrained, which I was unaware of. She does have a short tail cause she had an infection in it. We had to cut it to save her life. She is trained somewhat in the home, after the baby was born we have seen here revert back to how she came to us somewhat. We have become very busy and don’t have the time we had in the past to show her.i want her to be with a caring family/owner that have the time she deserves. She is very mild mannered and have a lot of energy.

Story
Urgent!!!! This pretty baby is 2yr-old Lola, a Boxer/pit mix. She was adopted at 6 months old from NHS. She is sweet & very loving to her humans. She is pretty energetic, but has had training and pretty good on the leash. She loves to snuggle up on the couch and belly rubs. A few months ago, my daughter adopted a 10-yr old child with past trauma and they aren't adjusting well to one another. Unforntaly I have tried everythign and am at the end of my rope. She needs a different environment than I can give her and needs someone who can give her a better life and a chance for success. She needs a big yard where she can run with a tall fence and no small animals and unfortantly no children due to jealously. Please help me give her a loving home and the life she deserves.

Story
Sasha, the reigning monarch of her foster castle, is a six-year-old English Bulldog with a heart as big as her adorable wrinkles. In her ideal home, she would prefer to assert her regal status as the one and only fur child. Sasha, having grown up in the presence of kiddos, exudes a gentle and amiable demeanor, making her a delightful companion for families with older kiddos. This bulldog queen is not just about regality; she's a playful soul who revels in the joy of games and companionship, especially with adults.  Sharing food or toys are not her strong suit so small children won't fit into her perfect royal court.  Sasha is clear about her preferences. Despite her love for play, she staunchly opposes the idea of donning costumes. Her royal attire is her natural coat, adorned with the charm of her unique bulldog features. In the vast expanse of her backyard kingdom, Sasha assumes the role of a distinguished grazer, exhibiting a talent that could rival that of a goat. Her leisurely grazing adds a touch of charm to the royal landscape, creating a picturesque scene though leads to a bit of a joker-like mess with clean up later. Sasha's journey to health has been marked by resilience and care. She has undergone soft palate surgery and had her saccules removed, emerging from these medical interventions remarkably healthy. Her well-being is a testament to the attentive care she receives in her temporary castle. As the queen of her realm, Sasha invites those who would appreciate her royal presence to share in the joy of her company. Her castle should be a haven of love, playfulness, and, of course, the regal charm that only a bulldog like Sasha can bring.--Interested adopters would need to travel to the Omaha area with family members including furry friends to meet Sasha.  Her adoption fee is set at $300. ##1952489##
