Ace was originally adopted out of ACS as a small puppy, but was found completely emaciated and dumped. We were able to pull him into our rescue and he is now on his way to gaining back his weight.Other than being neglected our vet has found nothing wrong with Ace. He is an amazing sweet boy, and despite what he went through with his previous owners he is still such a loving, gentle boy. His soulful bright eyes and sweet smile melts the heart of everyone who meets him.Ace is crate and house trained, good with other dogs, kids and even cats. He's the happiest sweetest boy with an amazing disposition. Ace loves to snuggle and be near his people. Anyone would be lucky to have Ace as part of their family.Ace can't wait to find a forever family that won't let him down like his last one did.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. Marlee is a fun name for a fun gal! I was living my life and having some fun, except no one got me "fixed" so the fun ended up with me being a single mother with 6 hungry mouths to feed!!! Who thinks that their fun will lead to months of feeding and my milk producers dragging on the ground :( I sure didn't... However, I LOVE MY BABIES!!! Now that they are on their own in foster homes, that is :) I am a fun gal, I love to play with my friends and I am great with other playful and fun dogs. I am a climber and a jumper so it may be why I was out playing in the first place.... but I digress... I am happy and sweet and I have the gorgeous soft, PLENTIFUL muzzle of a Shar Pei, with the energy of a lab or shepherd or who knows what other breed I am. I want a real family who will love me for all that I am, and I am A LOT!! Look me up and let's run off into the sunset :) ADOPT... DON'T SHOP!!! MY LIFE AND MY PUPPIES' LIVES' DEPEND ON IT!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

**Crinkle, crinkle, CRINKLE*** ever tried to be quiet in a theater while opening your candy bag?? Well, that is my LIFE!!! I have wrinkles and creases and crinkles EVERYWHERE!!! But, hey! I am a Shar Pei, so what else do I do?? (i mean besides look so so cute?) Yes, can you believe a purebred Shar Pei tied to a post... only in South Texas :(, that was 3 years ago.... But, I am one of the lucky ones! I was even adopted 3 years ago!!! However, my luck ran out when my owner died and his kids couldn't keep me.... SO here I am again, pleading for the right family to adopt me!!! I want to find a home who loves me and won't mind a little **crinkle, crinkle** in the middle of the night. I am only about 5 yrs old and 40#. I can't wait to be the queen of your home. Must know about my breed, we are great great dogs but have our little idiosyncrasies. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Jabba is a sweet 12 year old man who loves people and gets along with dogs. He is also heartworm positive so a nice calm home would be great for him. His little wrinkles are adorable. Jabba does well taking daily walks. He is very much so a napper kind of guy with his foster dad. He also goes outside to potty routinely as well. The adoption fee for adult dogs, seven months and older, is $250. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. If you have an existing dog at home, we recommend bringing it along to meet your possible new family member.helpingstrays.org
