You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rosy is a sweet energetic girl who is looking for an energetic family to keep up with. She will run like a banshee and play play play and then just pass out on you, the floor, the couch, the bed. Work hard, play hard is her motto. She is excellent with my six year old in her foster home. She loves him dearly and sleeps in a teenagers room at night. She thrives on human interaction and will quiet down in a kennel after being in there a bit. She loves to eat and is very treat motivated. Click here to see video! She has the sweetest eyes, looking for her next adventure.   https://youtu.be/aBUGZ9012c8Click here to see how smart I am! Rosy is from an owner surrender. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Aimee! This gentle girl may be a little cautious at first, but with a little patience (and a treat or two), she’ll be warming up to you before you know it. Since leaving the shelter, Aimee has become so much more relaxed, and her loving, loyal nature truly shines. Within an hour of meeting someone new, she’ll be right by your side, nudging for attention and happy to cozy up next to you. Aimee is kennel trained, gets along well with other dogs, and would be a great fit for a multi-pet household. She’s also wonderful with kids, especially those over 10, as her excitement sometimes leads to playful jumping. She adores soft stuffed animals to chew on and may let out a little howl when she’s extra happy. Aimee enjoys a few walks each day, and she’s always excited to go outside and explore. Check out this cute video of her sitting for a treat. With just a little time and love, she’ll bring joy, companionship, and that special kind of loyalty only a dog like Aimee can offer. Aimee is from a local shelter. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
Location: Mankato, MN Are you looking for a beautiful blonde? Giza (aka Gigi) is looking for her furrrever home. Want a couch companion after a good run and play time? This girl goes at 100 miles an hour, and then snuggles. She is a high energy youngster! Her smooth short coat is easy maintenance. Sits quietly for nail trims. This active pup is great with other dogs and ignores the resident cat. She loves to play and play and play with her human and dog friends. Working on house breaking (good progress for age, keeps kennel dry and clean but needs frequently potty trips and close supervision when inside). Quiet and great in a kennel. Needs a slow feed bowl please :-) Working on walking on a leash Already doing well on "come" with treats, working on "sit", knows "kennel", but frequently does still jump up in her happiness and joy at seeing you and playing. Likes playing with stuffed toys, Kongs, and Benebone chews. A home with older children (approximately 10 yrs +) needed, as in her few interactions with younger children she has been fearful. Her extreme exuberance is not a good mix for little children, and she will need a home that can help work with her on her hesitation with new people and younger kids. Gigi will make a great companion for a family that will provide exercise and enrichment for an active young pup. Currently fostered near Sioux Falls, and can set up meet and greet times! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi there! I'm Dobby, your future snuggle buddy! I'm a 1-year-old male Shar Pei weighing in at about 41 pounds (though I'm still working on gaining a few more). My foster parents say I’m the happiest boy around, and they’re not wrong—I love people and other dogs, and I’m always up for a cuddle or an adventure!  I have a couple of quirks you should know about. My skin and stomach are a little sensitive, so I’m on a special diet to keep me feeling my best. But don’t worry—it’s all manageable, and I’m thriving! I’m potty trained, and when you’re not home, I’ll be a perfect angel, free-roaming the house and keeping watch out the front window.  At home, I’m a professional snuggler. Whether we’re lounging on the couch or you’re tucked into bed, I want to be as close to you as possible. I’d love to share your bed, but I’m fine sleeping on my own bed on the floor too—as long as I’m in the same room as you. If you leave me alone in another room, I might bark at first, but I usually settle down after about 10 minutes.  I get along great with other dogs, though I’m still learning my manners with the bigger ones and can be a little too enthusiastic when meeting new friends on leash. I’m working on my leash training (a front-hook harness helps a lot!), but I do pull and need more practice. Speaking of training, I know “sit,” and I’m eager to learn more with your help!  I love chewing on hard bones and am just starting to enjoy softer toys. Treats are great too, but because of my sensitive tummy, I don’t get too many. I’m respectful with cats, and I’m fine as an only dog as long as I get lots of attention from my humans.  Oh, and about the yard—I don’t need a fence as long as you’re willing to take me on leash for potty breaks and exercise. I’m still learning not to try and sneak through the fence, so for now, I need to be on a leash outside.  All in all, I’m just a sweet, squishy-faced, fat-lipped lovebug who’s looking for a family to give me belly rubs, patience as I keep learning, and a whole lot of love. Could that be you? Let’s meet soon—I can’t wait! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Visit this link  www.underdogrescuemn.com/donate   to donate.  (Please note: A Paypal account is not necessary to use Paypal. Ace was originally adopted out of ACS as a small puppy, but was found completely emaciated and dumped. We were able to pull him into our rescue and he is now on his way to gaining back his weight.Other than being neglected our vet has found nothing wrong with Ace. He is an amazing sweet boy, and despite what he went through with his previous owners he is still such a loving, gentle boy. His soulful bright eyes and sweet smile melts the heart of everyone who meets him.Ace is crate and house trained, good with other dogs, kids and even cats. He's the happiest sweetest boy with an amazing disposition. Ace loves to snuggle and be near his people. Anyone would be lucky to have Ace as part of their family.Ace can't wait to find a forever family that won't let him down like his last one did.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.December 15, 2024, 6:04 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi my name is Rusty Briggs. I am a certified very good boy. I am a pretty mellow guy and love the company of other dogs. I have done well with a wide variety of canine friends and can play a great game of chase and wrestle. I am also content to just coexist. I kennel nicely, but also do well in a room by myself. I love attention. I do have a very sensitive side and can find loud noises and sudden movements a bit scary. I tend to pout when I am anxious. I really want to please people and have the most adorable underbite when I am thinking about things. Come and meet me today! Rusty Briggs is from a local impound.
