Story
I'm a Shar Pei / Pit mix coming in at about a year and a half old! With my wrinkly face and cute little ears, I make for a very handsome and unique mix. I'm currently just a few pounds shy of 60 lbs and could afford to put on a few more!I'm a big goofball with a heart of gold and an endless stomach. My energy tends to be all over the place and it's hard to get me to focus - unless there's a treat in your hand. As soon as I know what you have, you are the only thing I care about! I'm eager to please and even more eager to get that piece of food in my tummy. I'm smart, though, so the same trick can get old after the tenth time doing it. I need a home who is going to keep me stimulated mentally and physically for my utmost potential! I love stuffies and make sure to take my time playing with them before the inevitable snowstorm begins. Other toys are fun, too, I really like ones I can chew on for hours at a time. I'm a bit heavy on the leash, but I've been working on using an Easy Walk harness and it curbs the majority of my pully-ness. I'm eager to walk and love sniffing around new places! I have such enthusiasm for life, it's hard to contain it all. Like stated before - we're looking for a home that's looking for a higher energy dog. Bully rules do apply - you must own your own home, no cats, any kids in the home be over the age of 12, and any existing dog in the home has to be the opposite sex.

He is well behaved with all after a nice calm intro and a couple days to warm up. All puppies will have age appropriate vaccinations.  All small Pups need to be adopted by by children old enough to understand how to be respectful and gentle in handling a small young pup. ***     If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website   www.fohari.org and email my foster parent for more information:    reginasfosterdogs@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.       Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Story
Rubble is a two year old boxer mix that weighs about 70lbs. He's a goofy, active boy that would be the perfect addition for an active family or the perfect companion for someone that's outside a lot. Whether it's beach trips, snow plowing, hiking, or even just long walks, this guy would FLOURISH!Rubble does well with other dogs and he's also respectful of cats in a way that makes us pretty sure that he's been slapped by an angry cat before. He knows a warning when he hears one and he'll tuck his tail and run away before you can blink. Because he's so bouncy and thinks he's a lot smaller than he is, kids 12+ would probably be best. We know someone for Rubble is out there! He's such a loving, friendly guy and he'll be your best friend in no time, especially with a couple of butt scratches. He also does a silly little stompy dance when you scratch his butt just right and it makes it impossible not to fall in love with him.
