Story

Sasha is an amazing female shar-pei that acts much younger than her age. She would love an active household that includes her in activities. Sasha is very smart and takes direction/correction well. She has been fostering as an only dog, but can be good with other dogs after appropriate slow introductions and does best with dogs that are neutral or not reactive. She has been on overnights to a friends' home with small dogs, but has had less exposure to larger dogs. This girl loves to please! She loves toys, walks on a leash/harness (but could use some more practice), knows "sit", "stay", "heel" and "come", and is potty trained. She is not used to being crated at her current foster home. She may briefly barky at strangers, but warms up quickly, particularly in her foster home. Strange dogs get an equally barky reception, but with guidance and time, we believe she's totally up for a four-legged bff, but would be just as happy or happier (?) as an only dog, getting all of your attention and love! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Sasha loves attention and hanging out in the yard. (She would really like a yard.) She will chase the occasional squirrel and loves to bird watch. She has a lot of energy and would love regular walks and fun. But she can be a snuggly couch companion, giving eskimo kisses, too! This girl is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. She would do best in a home without small toddlers, but has been on sleepovers with kids aged 7+ without issue. Did we mention she is also drop dead gorgeous??? Story

Meiko was found as a stray in Northern California and landed in a shelter. He was underweight, already neutered and his age is estimated at 6 years (possibly younger). Meiko is good with other dogs and is friendly with people (even the vets!). He is possessive of his favorite bone (which he can spend hours gnawing on) or food bowl and will give you a little growl if he thinks you will take it, so he probably shouldn't be around young kids (who tend to wave crackers/food in their hands and may want to borrow a yummy dog bone without asking). This boy loves food and cuddles, adores being outside, but if given the choice will follow you around or hang inside with you. He is independent, would be fine in a home where people work/out of home. He will give a little bark in the morning to let you know it's time for outside potty trip. He is about 39 pounds, but could still benefit from adding a few pounds. He is fostering in Southern California.November 6, 2024, 2:40 pm

Bear is a calm older male who has life left to live. He can be very grumpy with vets, but is better around those not poking and prodding medically. Bear was found as a stray, is good with other dogs, walks well on a leash. We did bloodwork and a urinalysis and this boy is healthy, so he is freshly neutered! Bear has a gorgeous coat and chill personality. He can be a but growly, so we are recommending a home without small children. He is taking gabapentin daily as he appears a bit arthritic, but he gets around fine, and he sees and hears perfectly when you have a treat in your hand (his hearing is borderline without food). He loves hanging out with you inside, preferring shorter walks and doesn't care for cold weather. He is good for car rides and loves trips to the pet store to pick a toy! He is about 45 pounds. Hi there! I’m Mooch, I’m a four-year-old pup with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. I’m not one of those “sit quietly and watch” kind of dogs—oh no, I’m all about action, fun, and play! Toys? Don’t even get me started. Squeaky ones, bouncy ones, or even the ones that make crinkly noises—I’m obsessed with them all. If you toss it, I’ll chase it. If you hide it, I’ll find it. Meet Beau. He's full of energy (think baby kangaroo) and super smart. He has mastered the dog door and figured out all the cozy spots around the house (couch is a dav!) and has learned 'sit' at the foster home. Beau is still working on some basic commands (sit, down, stay) and walking on a leash. He doesn't love his ears being cleaned, but is tolerating it so his fosters can get them in shape. Ruby is a wonderful, affectionate, darling girl who will excel in most homes. In her foster home, she lives with other dogs, is visited by children on a regular basis, and we know she loves both men and women. Ruby has visited an especially safe and friendly dog park and we have never seen any issue. We do think that she is also independent and strong willed; we seek a confident dog owner, one who understands how to create positive boundaries for her and other dogs in the home. She loves car rides, will sit nicely on a senior person's walker, walks well on leash or harness, and loves loves loves attention.

Tux is stunning in person and he rides beautifully in the car and is dog friendly with other friendly dogs. He loves having another playful puppy in the home to play with and he bonded with his former foster sister, who was a senior, and didn’t want to play much with Tux, but he still loved her and wanted to be with her. Tux is an absolute love and is a sensitive soul who is so deserving of his happily ever after. He loves going on walks and he is crate trained and likes seeing his loved ones, so his previous foster crates him in the master bedroom. He’s a snuggle bug, affectionate, loving and is incredibly smart and eager to learn. He’s great with kids that don’t mind his playful behavior and he would love a home with a secure yard to run and play in. He also loves water and is a complete sweetheart.
