Teddy Bear is an adorable 8-ish-week-old Sharpei/Chow mix! He is a sweet, loving pup who is eager to learn and loves playing fetch!! Teddy’s life began in uncertainty, found with his siblings in a fast-food restaurants parking lot. A good Samaritan saw these tiny, defenseless puppies and brought them to the shelter, hoping they’d find safety. And they did, at first—all of the pups were quickly adopted, and Teddy was, too. But within just 24 hours, his adopter returned him to the shelter. Why? For simply being a baby—Teddy cried and needed help with potty training. He was handed back as though he were such an inconvenience. In shelters returned dogs often go to the top of the list for euthanasia. After being abandoned once, Teddy faced a second abandonment that could have ended his life. Thats when we stepped in! Now, Teddy is finally safe with a loving foster family —but he’s still waiting for a true forever family who will love him unconditionally, who won’t give up on him for simply being a puppy who needs guidance and care. After all, dogs only know what we teach them! Teddy LOVES to learn! He already started learning commands like "sit," "down," and "come," all within his first night in foster care. Teddy also slept through the night, a remarkable feat for a puppy who has already endured so much stress. His foster mom, who happens to be a dog trainer, is helping him work on leash manners and basic skills, giving Teddy a stable environment to grow, learn, and build confidence. We had Hank vaccinated and he will be microchipped and neutered thru our rescue! His neuter will be covered by Our rescue when he is 6-8 months old. Buford was found in the streets of LA by a good Samaritan, skin and bones, then luckily found himself in a warm foster home with a pack of three other wonderful large dogs. He has proven to be a real gem, melding in nicely and being a perfect gentleman in his foster home, and is now ready for his forever home. This 90 lb love bug enjoys many things: sun bathing, cuddling and snuggling on bed or couch, playing fetch, watching Netflix with his human buddy, and playing with his stuffed animals. He is a quick learner and so easy to please - sits on command, goes to his pen when asked and at mealtime where he patiently awaits his food, goes potty before bedtime and is a great all night sleeper, knows how to properly position himself in front of the fan for summertime cool-off, and eager to learn more tricks! His best fit home is one with a good sized yard for him to run around in, and people ready to take him out for walks, hikes and adventures (with continued work on his leash training he will be that perfect outdoor companion).
