Story

Sasha is an amazing female shar-pei that acts much younger than her age. She would love an active household that includes her in activities. Sasha is very smart and takes direction/correction well. She has been fostering as an only dog, but can be good with other dogs after appropriate slow introductions and does best with dogs that are neutral or not reactive. She has been on overnights to a friends' home with small dogs, but has had less exposure to larger dogs. This girl loves to please! She loves toys, walks on a leash/harness (but could use some more practice), knows 'sit', 'stay', 'heel' and 'come', and is potty trained. She is not used to being crated at her current foster home. She may briefly barky at strangers, but warms up quickly, particularly in her foster home. Strange dogs get an equally barky reception, but with guidance and time, we believe she's totally up for a four-legged bff, but would be just as happy or happier (?) as an only dog, getting all of your attention and love! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Sasha loves attention and hanging out in the yard. (She would really like a yard.) She will chase the occasional squirrel and loves to bird watch. She has a lot of energy and would love regular walks and fun. But she can be a snuggly couch companion, giving eskimo kisses, too! This girl is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. She would do best in a home without small toddlers, but has been on sleepovers with kids aged 7+ without issue. Did we mention she is also drop dead gorgeous??? Meiko was found as a stray in Northern California and landed in a shelter. He was underweight, already neutered and his age is estimated at 6 years (possibly younger). Meiko is good with other dogs and is friendly with people (even the vets!). He is possessive of his favorite bone (which he can spend hours gnawing on) or food bowl and will give you a little growl if he thinks you will take it, so he probably shouldn't be around young kids (who tend to wave crackers/food in their hands and may want to borrow a yummy dog bone without asking). This boy loves food and cuddles, adores being outside, but if given the choice will follow you around or hang inside with you. He is independent, would be fine in a home where people work/out of home. He will give a little bark in the morning to let you know it's time for outside potty trip. Bear is a calm older male who has life left to live. He can be very grumpy with vets, but is better around those not poking and prodding medically. Bear was found as a stray, is good with other dogs, walks well on a leash. We did bloodwork and a urinalysis and this boy is healthy, so he is freshly neutered! Bear has a gorgeous coat and chill personality. He can be a but growly, so we are recommending a home without small children. He is taking gabapentin daily as he appears a bit arthritic, but he gets around fine, and he sees ans hears perfectly when you have a treat in your hand! He is about 45 pounds. Henry came to us by way of the SEAACA animal shelter. When he arrived at the shelter two weeks prior, he was in pretty terrible shape. His ears were destroyed by fly strikes, and his entire muzzle was covered in scabs/sores. He waited for two weeks, but nobody ever claimed him, and he wasn't adopted. We were able to step in and save him from taking his final walk. Henry is literally one of the calmest boxers we have ever seen. He's pretty solid, but so so so tender. He has those beautiful, soulful, amber eyes. It's obvious that Henry wasn't dealt the best hand early in his life, and he probably spent most of his time outdoors. Our vet examined him thoroughly and ran all of the appropriate tests. He believes Henry to be about 3 years old, but we are estimated between 3-5 just to be safe (his teeth indicate closer to 3). Pete is a 3 year old male Pete is an absolute dream dog who adores all people. Due to not being great with other dogs Pete has had extensive professional training and his adopters will get several training sessions to ensure a great start to his new life with you. He is the absolute favorite dog at the training facility. Meet Pete! Isn't he a hunk!?!?!?! Pete came to us from the Riverside shelter. He has been with us since just before Thanksgiving and we have gotten to know a lot about him. &#226&#128&#139 Pete is a tender hearted guy who just wants to snuggle and love his humans. He is very affectionate with people he knows, but it's obvious he's had his heart broken in his past, so he is very guarded with his heart. He needs a home with no other dogs. He is definitely potty trained and very well mannered. He will definitely be on Santa's nice list. He is crate trained He does great with kids but due to his behavior around other dogs, we are not comfortable placing him with kids at this time. He really wants to be home for the holidays. He's a sweet boy that's obviously gorgeous, dog friendly, and just a little quirky. He came to us with several rectal strictures, at deaths door, but now he's just on stool softener(likely for life) and otherwise a healthy young boy. He's about 2 years old, crate trained, but not quite potty trained. He's a good boy but he needs someone that can give him structure and training. He currently has 2 fosters with "joint custody" that love him a lot but it's a lot of back and forth for him and we'd love for him to have a family of his own that could give him the time that he deserves.
