Meet Barbie – The Sweetest Senior Girl Looking for Her Retirement Home! Barbie is a 12-year-old, 31 lb Shar Pei mix who may be mostly blind and partially deaf, but her heart is overflowing with love and sweetness. She’s ready to spend her golden years in a calm, loving retirement home where she can relax and be spoiled. Here’s a little about her from her foster home: Barbie is a cuddly, rolly-polly little girl who adores affection and loves being around people. She's potty trained, skilled at using the dog door, and never has accidents indoors. If the door is closed, she politely asks to go outside! She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, gently sniffing them and giving them space, and even with bossy pups, she remains calm and collected. She’s not interested in her three cats, though, just calmly ignoring them! When guests arrive, she eagerly approaches with a sparkle in her eye, inviting gentle pets before settling down at their feet. Barbie loves her walks! She’s always excited to get outside, and it’s a joy to watch her run with her little legs as fast as they’ll go. At night, she sleeps soundly, never making a sound, and enjoys cozying up in her favorite bed after a little nest-building with the blankets. Barbie thrives on routines and enjoys her peaceful days. She has a good appetite, prefers smaller meals, and is very dainty while eating. She also takes her eye drops like a champ three times a day and loves all the extra attention! Although she’s never made a sound like a bark, she’s super easy-going and loves the simple things, like bath time (which she’s a pro at), enjoying her morning cookie, and just being by your side. Barbie does have some medical needs, including eye drops and a tumor, but nothing seems to faze her. She’s a loyal, affectionate companion who would thrive in a quiet home where she can just enjoy her well-deserved retirement.
