Story
Ruby is a super sweet girl, she is about 7 months old, around 30 pounds. She is great with kids and other animals. We moved into a property that does not have fencing and I worry she will be lost or eaten by something. She is so sweet and loving. She loves to lay around, she is super patient with our children. I just want her to go to a good home with someone that will love and care for her. I am not asking a rehoming fee, just a good home. We are located near show low Arizona.

Story
Cherrybell is a lovely old lady who is looking for a retirement home! At her age, she isn’t asking for much- just a soft place to nap, some slow walks with her humans, and lots of love! Cherrybell spent a whole year in foster- here’s what we learned:- She did well with small and large dogs- She was housebroken and well- behaved when left home alone- She walks well on leash and likes car rides- She is an affectionate couch potato“Cherrybell is a love bug. She wants to be where her person is. She loves to eat, sleep, and get belly rubs. She is not much for playtime; she enjoys a slower paced simple life.”And here’s what one of Cherrybell’s friends at the shelter said:“This easygoing, well-mannered butterball is a favorite of everyone who meets her. Her needs are pretty simple- she mainly likes some cuddling, a few short walks, a soft place to snuggle, and plenty of treats. She’s friendly, happy, mild-mannered, affectionate and craves human companionship. She is a total LOVE BUG! She`s also smart and food motivated - she eagerly sits for treats and takes them gently and patiently. She’s easy to leash and enjoys going for easy strolls. If you’re looking to be loved unconditionally and want to be the center of someone’s affection, Cherrybell is the one for you!”Cherrybell has some old lady lumps and bumps and could stand to lose a few pounds (who couldn’t!?), so we’d love to see her in a home where she’ll be comfortable and where her health will be monitored. The shelter just isn’t a great place for a senior sweetheart like Cherrybell!Cherrybell shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’s looking for a home without livestock or cats. Please ask about this deserving old gal today!!

Story
Super sweet, scared Malibu would like to be not in the shelter. She was surrendered to PACC for not eating and just gave birth days prior. She is confused and depressed being separated from her family! Will you give her a home? She is possibly valley fever and obviously needs cherry eye repair surgery but otherwise is normal. She has been good with other dogs and kids per the owner and is very affectionate/playful!

Story
Kodak is 5 years old and was adopted originally from Pima Animal Care Center. He was suppose to be a second dog to be a friend to the one I already had but unfortunately he now has to be separated from the other. He is friendly with kids and cats, however he does not get along with other dogs. He is friendly with people however upon meeting he does bark. He is a very sweet boy with a lot of love and joy to give, sadly I am not able to provide for him and my other dog in the way they both need. Kodak loves to go on walks, play fetch, and is very loyal. He loves being with his people. He does have separation anxiety, although given the proper love and care he deserves would help immensely with that. I am looking for someone who has the time, love, and patience for Kodak and does not have any other dogs. In the past he got along with a small female pit who was under my care, but he has a hard time playing gentle. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

Story
Hello, My name is Estevan. I had adopted a puppy from PACC about 6 months ago and everything was going well. I introduced him to my current dog slowly and they get along well. My issues lately have been the dog escaping out of the yard and new people coming over he is doing what dogs do which is bark and protect, but he has already nipped and lunged at a few family members along with my daughters friends. I have to put him on a leash or kennel him as a precaution when people come over and he has to run around outside while I'm out there so he doesn't jump the fence or go under. It's not a good way for the dog to enjoy running around but I'm all out of options and don't have the means to pay from training classes. He is a great dog and would be good with someone who can put in the time to train him and have a yard that is a little more secure. I don't want to give him up but with all the circumstances I feel the dog will be a liability by escaping or actually injure someone.

Story
PACC says Buddy was found near airport, but we have no idea where he came from. Jan 23, 2023 pick up date. Buddy has been through a lot in the past few months, but I’m happy to report that he`s doing well now. It’s difficult to determine exactly what breed mix Buddy might be, but Boxer - Pitbull or Boxer - Staffordshire Terrier are both possibilities. The healing nose wound; scars on his neck and ears could indicate a rough past, but it`s also possible that they were from an accident.Since he was so sick and lethargic when we received him, I’m not 100% sure on his attitude – he’s changed a lot since he’s been here. PACC vet did find an old glob of material and hair when they resected his colon. It seems he may have eaten some glass while out on the street. With no previous history, it’s tough to say what he experienced. His surgery was around Feb 10. I think he just finished healing up around April 1.Buddy was house trained when we received him and very well-behaved around guests including a free range toddler, teens, and men and women of various ages. I feel guilty leaving him when I have to go into work, but dogs are resilient and can adapt to being alone for periods of time as long as they have food, water, and a safe space to rest. His teeth were full of gunk so I’ve made a habit of brushing his teeth daily so the odor and cleanliness have improved. He allows me to mess with his teeth, and mouth. I’m happy to report that his fur has substantially improved since we first got him, which I think is a sign of good health. Any diet change has resulted in diarrhea and he vomited a few times when we first got him (likely due to food changes and obstruction in colon.) I slowly got him on a chicken kibble from Costco. WARNING: His farts are silent but violent. He usually eats at 7am and 5pm. He often goes to bed on his own at 8pm and naps alot throughout the day. With snacks at 10 am and 3pm. After his colon surgery I even fed him a little meal at noon. As for his behavior around other dogs, it`s not uncommon for dogs to become more reactive on a leash, especially when they`re around other dogs. I think we need to continue to train him to walk on a loose leash and to stay calm around other dogs. He doesn’t have terrible leash manners and socialization skills, but he’s changed a lot since his colon resection. So I’m not sure WHO the real Buddy Mc. But But is. I’m not sure if he’d be nice to cats since he was persnickety with
