Story
Meet Lachlan - the cutest and sweetest little grey tabby Scottish Fold! Lachlan came from Kuwait to get the treatment he needed and find his furever home. He was quite painful and closed off upon arrival. But now, after his veterinary visit, he's become so playful and fun! He's full of vim and vigor and cracks me up! Lachlan has Osteochondrodysplasia (OCD) which is very common in Scottish Folds. The abnormality that causes their ears to be folded also leads to cartilage issues throughout the body. For Lachlan this can be seen in his short tail that has little to no flexibility and his feet which are short and thick. Lachlan does so well on his pain regimen! He jumps and plays and is such a happy guy. His favorite thing is head scratches. He leans into them so much he often flips over on his side! Lachlan's severe OCD will need to be treated for the rest of his life with a monthly injection at a vet office and daily doses of Gabapentin. This greatly improves his mobility and makes him comfortable. This injection, depending on the vet and location, can cost around $60-$100 per month. He will need to be on life long pain management including daily medication that he takes very easily. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested FeLV/FIV negative. A Grade 2 heart murmur was auscultated during exam, however no signs of congestive heart failure noted.

Story
Meet Chimpmunk, an adorable Scottish Fold kitten who traveled all the way from Kuwait to the U.S. in search of a better life. This little sweetheart is an absolute smooch machine-she'll rub, lick, and roll all over you for endless pets! Chimpmunk is always busy exploring her world, but she'll gladly pause for her favorite Churu treats. With her cute flat face, she makes the most entertaining snorfling and grunting noises that will keep you laughing. Chimpmunk is full of love and curiosity, always ready to charm her way into your heart! Chipmunk has Osteochondrodysplasia, the Scottish Fold disease. The abnormality that causes their ears to be folded also leads to cartilage issues throughout the body. For Chipmunk it caused short, thick feet and a short tail. She was sent to the US because we have a drug called Solensia that Kuwait does not have. This is a drug she will need likely every month for the rest of her life. It's a shot and will have to be done at a vet office. Typically it costs $60-$100 per month, depending on location. She is also on daily gabapentin for pain management.

Story
Irish is here after traveling 6,000 miles from Kuwait. She was found outside by a kind human, overheating and panting. Luckily, she was saved just in time from the desert heat. Now she's all healthy and ready to find her people. She's the sweetest little thing and has no worry in the world. She's outgoing but not in-your-face and loves to be pet. Sometimes she makes biscuits just while standing in front of you. She does well with other cats, dogs would likely be fine if they are cat-savvy. It's recommended that all Scottish Folds get some kind of supplement to support their joints as the genetic condition that makes their ears folded can cause joint and bone pain.

Story
Meet Sasha, a world traveler who journeyed all the way from Kuwait in search of her home! This curious and adventurous kitty is always ready to explore, often standing on her hind legs to get a better view of her surroundings. Sasha is as sweet as she is playful, getting along beautifully with both other cats and cat-savvy dogs. She's a fan of a cozy bed but also enjoys darting around in playtime. While Sasha loves to be near her people, she's refreshingly independent and never demanding. Though she's not a fan of being picked up, she'll often snuggle right up beside you, keeping you company without being too clingy. Sasha absolutely adores feather toys and chasing laser pointers, making playtime a blast. She's also a litter box pro and isn't fussy about her food. Sasha's friendly personality means she warms up quickly to new people and environments. Though she hasn't been around kids, her gentle and adaptable nature suggests she'd be great with them too. If you're looking for a laid-back yet affectionate companion who fits in seamlessly, Sasha is your girl. Whoever adopts her will be incredibly lucky! Sasha has not shown any signs of OCD, but as a Scottish fold, she should be on joint supplements.

Story
Alma is here and ready to find her home! She arrived from Kuwait for a better life in the US. She is a sweet and gentle girl with beautiful lavender gray fur. She enjoys playing! Alma would prefer to be the only kitto receiving your attention, but she may be okay with one or two other confident cats. Because Alma is a Scottish Fold, it's recommended that she get some kind of joint supplement for the majority of her life. The gene mutation that makes their ears folded can lead to cartilage issues and getting ahead of it now will help her live life to the fullest. A popular supplement comes in powder form and is easily sprinkled over food. Are you the one for Alma? She about 2 years old, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested Felv/FIV negative.
