You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Our website has information about our rescue, adoption process and link to our adoption application www.collarofhope.org  We are a foster home based rescue and have no facility to visit.  Some of our kitties can be seen at our PetSmart partner store in Gig Harbor and it will be noted on their profile if they are at this public location.  Cheeks is an incredibly sweet kitty. He will never turn down a good petting or brushing, but has only just started to seek out affection on his own. He prefers the seat next to you as opposed to your lap. Cheeks settled in and warmed up very quickly in his foster home. He loves to stretch out and take in some nice belly rubbings. He has a lower activity level, typical for this breed. Cheeks loves a good scratching post, so have a nice one ready! While Cheeks is extremely tolerant and has displayed zero signs of aggression, it is clear he does not prefer young children. He is better suited to a house with older (10+) kids. There has been no experience with other animals except the female he was found with. He is fine with either men or women and is unbothered by fireworks, vacuums, and barking neighbor dogs. Cheeks is super chill and just so, so sweet He will make for a wonderful companion! Cheeks does have a heart murmur but is otherwise healthy.  Our vet had no issues doing his neuter using proper protocol.  He is a very picky eater and has yet to get onboard with a better and more appropriate cat diet (cats are 100% carnivores so thrive best on a high meat content diet).  We are still trying to nail down a good diet for him meanwhile.  Prior to adoption, as a minimum,  our animals are spay/neutered, vaccinated age appropriate (will need additional vaccines in some cases), parasite treated/prevented and micro-chipped.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 24, 2025, 2:59 pm

Story
MeetCatti-B! This sweet girl is pure love! She absolutely adores her humans and can't get enough cuddles. Catti-B is incredibly easy-going and adapts effortlessly to any situation. She's touched the hearts of all our volunteers with her gentle spirit and loving nature. All she wants is to be by your side and soak up the affection. She is fully vetted, and all her vaccinations are up to date. We offer transport to the Pacific Northwest & the East Coast every three weeks.  Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. Ready to Adopt?  go to https://www.petstablished.com/organization/920716    ##2377218##

Story
Hi there, I’m Summer! I’m a refined, sun-loving lady , about 5 years young, looking for a calm and cozy home . My favorite pastimes include lounging in warm sunbeams, gazing out the window like the queen I am , and gracing my humans with affection—on my terms, of course. I’ll swing by for some pets and happily curl up next to you when the mood strikes, but I do value my independence . I’m a very quiet girl, so if you’re looking for a peaceful companion, I might just be your perfect match . I prefer to be the only furry royalty in the house (other animals totally cramp my style), but I’d make a wonderful friend for someone who wants a low-maintenance, mellow buddy. Despite my chonky physique, I eat a normal amount and don’t ask for much—just a comfy spot and someone to admire my fabulousness . Think we’d be a good match? Let’s meet! ##2377219##
