Although he was not the treasure he was searching for, we could not be more grateful that he came upon poor little Hokey Pokey. When the Finder picked up the kitten they noticed he had a very large gaping wound in one of his arms. It was late in the evening, and all of the shelters were either closed or denied intake. That’s when the Finder reached out to Orphan Annie’s Neonatal Rescue to see if we could help. A dedicated Foster took Hokey Pokey in and stabilized him until he could be brought to the veterinarian. It was determined that he had suffered a bite from wildlife and would need his arm removed. At just over 6 ounces, this incredible kitten survived an amputation of his right front arm. Since then he has learned to play, love, make chaos, and steal the hearts of everyone he meets. Nothing holds, Hokey Pokey back, and whoever is lucky enough to adopt this sweet boy has truly found a treasure.
