Story
Please contact Mary (mga63@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.Meet Shelley! Shelley is beautiful, loving girl. She is somewhat timid at first, but gentle and calm. Shelley is a fan of catnip toys, long naps, and getting lots of pets and scritches from her favorite humans. She does like to find a place to hide when she is stressed. She has been introduced to children, and while she was shy (as she is with most strangers), she accepted their pets and was gentle with them. Shelley will do best in a quiet home with people who are patient as she may take some time to feel safe in a new environment.  Shelley is already spayed and ready to go to her forever home. Adoption is $50 and includes the spay surgery, vaccines, and microchip.  To meet this cat, please email her foster mom at: mga63@yahoo.com and share a little bit about where this kitty would be living and with whom (children, other pets) so that we can make the best possible match.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 9, 2026, 8:18 am

Story
Blinkin was named after this unique eye. According to the veterinary eye specialist, Blinkin has a congenitally small eye so it took longer than normal to push the eyelid open after birth and one eye became infected. However, now the infection is completely cleared up and he can see from it completely normally. The small eye will forever give him a bit of a pirate look but he is the sweetest pirate ever and will definitely steal your heart. He has a lovely loud purr and super soft fur. The two of them purring and snuggled up to you is pure heaven. His coat is called “classic tabby“ With swirls of black and cream, and he has racing stripes down his back. My granddaughters love to pick him up and play with him, and he also loves to play with other kittens and cats and all toys. He would probably do well with a dog given proper introductions. He is neutered, has age-appropriate vaccines, is FIV/leukemia negative, and is wormed and microchipped Please apply on our website: www.thewayhomerescue.org Follow us on IG for more info: @thewayhomerescue December 14, 2025, 3:23 pm

Story
Betty is ready for adoption! Betty came to LCH over a year ago. She was emaciated and severely matted from living outside. A wonderful person took her in, fed and vetted her, and even took her to a groomer! She was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, arthritis, and a heart murmur. Once under the care of Liberation Cat House, further testing showed high blood pressure, thickening of her heart's chamber walls caused by chronic high blood pressure, and an elevated risk for blood clots. She was considered a hospice case. But despite all her medical issues, Betty decided she wanted to live! She thrived under the care of her LCH foster, gaining weight and showing her true personality. Betty is quirky, vocal, opinionated, and so affectionate. So now we're looking for her forever home, where she can live out the rest of her days in peace and love. Betty's forever home must: 1. Have no other cats. Betty has *very* strong opinions about other cats existing in her space- none of them good. 2. Follow her med schedule and follow up with her cardiologist and regular vet. Betty is on 4 daily medications that are critical to her well-being, as well as a monthly Solensia injection for her arthritis. Please share her story to help her find her forever home! She deserves a soft place to live out her days as the queen of her castle. We know her people are out there, we just have to find them!
