Hi there! I'm Milhouse. I'm a sweet boy with a playful heart, but I'm not always the bravest cat in the room. I love to have fun in my own space, chasing toys and wrestling with my brothers, but new environments can be a bit intimidating. My mama is my rock, and I love sticking close to her side. My brothers keep me on my toes, and we have the best time playing together. I'm a sucker for a good wand toy with a long, dangly thing on the end, and I love climbing up the cat tower to survey my kingdom. My fur is a gorgeous, fluffy medium length coat that's soft as a teddy bear's, and my face is just too cute. I'm all up-to-date on my shots - vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, so you can rest easy. I'm a social butterfly (or cat), and I do great with kids, other cats, and even cat-friendly dogs, as long as you introduce me slowly. I'm just looking for a loving home where I can snuggle up and be the sweetest little buddy. I'm ready to go home 1/22, but will be available to preadopt soon.

I don’t jump on counters or tables, I don’t scratch furniture or people, and I keep myself clean and tidy. I’m sweet, soft, and calm—truly a good girl. I do need scratchers (they’re a must!), and I love using them. With other animals, I’m peaceful but independent. I’m not aggressive at all—I mostly ignore and avoid them, though I do tolerate their presence. Dogs don’t interest me; I’ll quietly keep my distance and may relax a few feet away, but I prefer not to interact. Visitors make me shy, and I usually choose a safe hiding spot until things feel calm again. With humans, I just need time and patience. At first, I’ll hide while I figure out if you’re someone I can trust. Once I do, I become affectionate and cuddly in my own gentle way. I enjoy watching TV with you, being brushed, playing with toys, gazing out windows, and relaxing nearby. I move at a slow, thoughtful pace and appreciate a peaceful home. In a new environment, I may need a week or more to come out of hiding—and that’s okay. The best way to win my heart is to quietly care for me, feed me, and let me decide when I’m ready. Older children would be fine as long as they respect my space and let me warm up on my own terms. My current human loves me dearly but is facing serious medical challenges and upcoming surgeries, making it impossible for them to continue caring for me.
