She’s got a soft, non-shedding coat, making her perfect for allergy sufferers who still want a snuggly best friend.   From the moment she arrived, Tomato Soup has been serving up love, cuddles, and just the right amount of puppy mischief. She’s playful, energetic, and always ready for an adventure, but when it’s time to relax, she’s a world-class napper. This little lady is a professional blanket thief, often dragging towels or blankets to her favorite corner before curling up like the tiny queen she is.   What’s a day with Tomato Soup like?   She wakes up when her humans do, heads outside for her morning potty break, and then enjoys breakfast at 8 AM (the most important meal of the day!). After breakfast, she takes a well-earned puppy nap, recharging for an afternoon of playing with toys and her doggy best friend, Java. She’s both independent and a cuddle bug—happy to entertain herself with toys but also eager to snuggle up whenever you sit down. She eats lunch around 1-2 PM, followed by more playing and practicing her best puppy dog eyes for treats. Dinner is at 9 PM, with a final round of zoomies before winding down for the night. She sleeps in her crate, where she can hold it overnight like a champ! Leash Walking & Potty Training Tomato Soup is still new to leash life, but she’s picking it up quickly! She gets excited about new sights and smells but redirects well with a little guidance. She’s almost completely potty trained, signaling when she needs to go out and holding it through the night.   Personality & Quirks   Cuddle level: Maximum. She wants to be very, VERY close to you—expect her to sneak into any available space on the couch! Smart & food-motivated – She’s already learning commands like “sit” and will excel with continued training. Teething gremlin – Despite plenty of chew toys, she may accidentally mistake your glasses or a power cord for a snack (oops!). Puppy zoomies? Absolutely. But she’s got a great “off switch” and will nap for hours after playtime. Favorite pastime? Supervising the kitchen. If you’re doing dishes, Tomato Soup is right there, ensuring you don’t drop any snacks. Best Home Match: Tomato Soup is the perfect blend of spunky, sweet, and snuggly, and she’s ready to be your little spoon. If you’re looking for a pup who will fill your home with laughter, cuddles, and maybe a few stolen blankets, she’s your girl! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Tomato Soup is looking for a home that can keep up with her puppy energy and curiosity. She’s good with dogs who respect playtime boundaries and would thrive with a family willing to continue her training. While she hasn’t been around young kids yet, she’s gentle and could do well with dog-savvy children 7 and up.                           January 29, 2025, 2:17 am

Story
We have a transport set up to leave SoCal 01/03/25 to NorCal and OR. We would love to add our remaining Scottie puppy to our trip for the right family 💙 Travel costs are in addition to his adoption fee. Travel costs/adoption fee are always due when we arrive in person with your new baby in hand 💙 Update! Only Finley is still looking for a great home. His photo is the one now posted ❤️ Meet Sterling, Wally, Stewart, Duff, Finley, and Enya. (5 males 1 female) (Wally, and Stewart are our last two males looking for good homes 💙) They are purebred Scottish terrier puppies. They were born 8/4/24. They are current on their vaccines, and yes we have full records for each of them. They have also been dewormed through our vet, had a wonderful overall exam, and each of them will be going home with a health certificate 💙 They are to young to neuter/spay, so yes they will be going home with a neuter/spay contract. Both of their parents came to us, and unbeknownst to their prior owner, or us, momma was pregnant. Both parents are purebred Scottish Terriers. Dad has found a wonderful home already, and mom (is currently looking for a new home of her own so if interested in opening your heart to her let us know and we will send her info right on over ❤️) They have been with us since birth, and have had exceptional care from our family which will continue until they are in a family all their own 😊 They are very well socialized, LOVE to play, are EXTREMELY intelligent, and have been an absolute joy to raise 🙂 We are going to miss them tremendously but it's time for them to begin their individual journeys all the way to their new families, where they will continue to spread the same love, joy, and happiness that they have blessed us with here ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Their parents both had BEAUTIFUL temperaments, and were VERY healthy at time of their exams. Mom was a great mother to her babies, and was always attentive to their every need of her. She raised them up until the day she decided she was okay with us taking over all while she observed from a close distance ensuring we were meeting her every expectation for her babies 🙃 You WILL NOT regret saying YES to any one of these babies, as they each have brought tremendous joy to our hearts as I know they will yours ❤️ They are pad trained, and understand pads perfectly. They have NOT been outdoors yet, as we are waiting for all sets of vaccines to be complete until they are able to explore any further than the safety of our home. House training will come easy as they all aim to please, and are very attentive when being spoken to. They LOVE being held, as that's something we did from early on so it's a place of comfort to be in your arms 🥰 and we love having them there so everyone is happy during snuggle time 🙂 They have been on small road trips around town, which they have all done very well with! They are all great at bath time, and LOVE to be pampered ☺️ Crate training hasn't yet begun, but they are accustomed to being secured in a play yard, or by gates which they respect greatly. Their adoption fee is under their adoption listing on our website at breadoflifek9refuge.org. You can find their adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/scottiepuppies. It covers their their individual vet costs (vaccines, fecal tests, deworming, vet exams, and their health certificate,) along with the care involved from their birth til now which has been great in itself, along with their socialization and training that we will continue to do until they have a family of their own.
