Story
Millie is a sweet, happy, loving little dog ad eager to please!. She likes to take short walks with you. She is not leash trained, but she is learning. Off leash, she will make every step I make. She loves to play tug of war and fetch for short periods. She is well potty trained to the outside. She has gotten along with the neighbors dogs. My cats ignore her, but she would be friends if they would. She does have some medical conditions. She has Cushing's disease which is being controlled with daily meds. She needs bathes 3 times a week with a medicated shampoo. Skin problems from one of the side affects of Cushing's is skin issues. She has had 4 tumors removed. One tumor was covering an eye, the eye is fine. She has some fatty tumors, lipomas that are benign and do not affect her at all. She was originally found on Lake Rayburn in 2010 with a litter of half grown puppies by a couple that went to her foster's church. The wife died and the husband sent her to be euthanized. At the vet's office someone stepped in and saved her life. At that time, we did not know where she came from. Mille is an absolute DOLL! She is fully vetted and ready for her forever home. Millie has cushings so will have to remain on meds for life as well as daily eye drops 2x a day for dry eye, so her adoption fee has been waived. Millie weighs 20 lbs. Millie's adoption fee is WAIVED FOR THE RIGHT HOME. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
SophieAnn Grace is a 4 year old poodle mix that weighs approximately 13 pounds. She was found as a stray on the streets super scared of humans and very very timid. She is still very unsure about being loved on and petted by humans. Occasionally, she will allow you to get her on a leash if you can trap her in the corner of a room and that is when she will become docile and allow you to gently pet her sometimes but is not very keen on being picked up just yet. She unfortunately lived on the streets as a feral dog all of her life and thus, is very scared of humans at the moment and will become defensive if she feels threatened or startled. SophieAnn needs someone who will be patient with her and allow her to adjust in her own time to human contact and love. She is amazing with other calm and well mannered dogs but just still very timid about humans, especially those she does not know well. SophieAnn Grace needs another calm dog in the house to play with and teach her how to be a dog as well as show her that human love is okay. She enjoys running around outside on grass but currently does not play with toys. SophieAnn is very food motivated and loves raw carrots and peanut butter! She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and is heart worm negative. SophieAnn can't wait to find her furever family that is willing to slowly work with her and show her that humans are the best fur-parents ever! Adoption fee is: waived to the right family ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Story
Hello there, I'm Princess. I am a 11 year old, nineteen pound Miniature Poodle being fostered in the Houston area. Don't let my age fool you, I've still got plenty of pep in my step. I'm the sweetest gal you'll ever meet, always ready with a friendly wag of my tail. My favorite thing in the world is cuddling up next to someone who loves me. I'm loyal to a fault, always sticking by my person's side. And I'm no fool, I can figure out puzzles in no time. Oh, and I get along with other dogs just fine. I've been told I'm the total package. I may be in my golden years, but I have so much love left to give. If you're looking for a faithful friend, a cuddle buddy, and a smart companion, then I'm your girl. Adopt me and let's make some beautiful memories together. Princess is being treated for heartworms. This is a treatable disease and treatment is covered by the rescue. She is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped and just had a dental. Adoption fee is waived to the right home ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Story
Meet Peter Piper, a lively 1.5-year-old poodle mix who weighs 24 pounds. He journeyed to CAMO's Houston facility all the way from Seguin, TX, and is always eager to greet new faces with boundless enthusiasm. While Peter is very friendly with people, he's not as fond of other dogs, so he would thrive best as the only dog in the home. Peter is currently working hard on his potty and leash training, showing great potential with a consistent schedule and positive reinforcement. With his high energy levels, Peter would be a perfect fit for an active home, ideally one with older children who can keep up with his playful nature. Peter Piper's infectious enthusiasm is sure to bring joy and excitement to any loving household! Moses is almost 2 years old poodle mix who weighs 46lbs. He was found as a puppy at a church and given to a senior lady who is no longer able to care for him. Moses loves to ride in the car. He needs to be in a home where he can get more exercise as he's young and has energy. He is fully vetted - neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He was recently watched by a friend who had a child and smaller dog and he did great with both of them. He thinks he's a lap dog though lol. Adoption fee is: $100 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Story
Rascal is a charming 4-year, 8-month-old poodle mix who weighs 36 pounds and is full of personality. His journey began as a stray, but he’s now ready to find his forever home, thanks to Camo Rescue. This fluffy companion is potty trained, knows basic commands, and is mostly a joy to walk on a leash—though his excitement might occasionally lead to a little pulling. Rascal’s playful spirit shines through his love for toys; he’s rarely seen without one in tow, happily carrying it wherever he goes. Rascal is a social pup who enjoys the company of other dogs and adores spending time outside. However, once he settles into a home, Rascal tends to become protective of his space and person. He prefers a quiet lifestyle and isn’t a fan of visitors—be they human or animal—when his person is around. Because of this, Rascal would thrive in a low-traffic home as the only dog, ideally with a single person or a couple who can provide him with the stability and love he craves. If you’re looking for a loyal, toy-loving companion who’s happiest with a small, devoted circle, Rascal might just be the perfect fit for you! Adoption fee is: $200 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet.
