Story
Meet Oscar! This handsome boy has been with SRC for some time. Oscar found rescue from a severe hoarding case and it has taken him quite awhile to acclimate. He is a great boy that loves her person but has severe anxiety with vetting and grooming. He does well with the mobile groomer that comes to his foster home but that has taken some time and trust on his part. Oscar will require a fenced yard and someone who has patience to allow him to work through his fears. This sweet boy is a diamond in the rough. He is approximate 4 years old. Story
Introducing Heather! Heather is a 7-year-old, 10-pound mini poodle with a big heart. She can be a bit shy at first but is naturally curious. Once she feels comfortable, she’s all wags and joy, ready to greet her person with wiggles and kisses. Heather loves to be held, and she’s content to snuggle in your lap or curl up beside you on the couch or floor. She feels safest when she knows there’s a hand resting on her, offering her that comforting sense of security. No need to pet her constantly—just knowing you’re there enough to make her feel loved. If you leave her behind, she may express her feelings with a bark or a little "rooooo, rooooo, rooooo," earning her the nickname Renny Roo. She’s still working on potty training, so we’re taking her out regularly to help her get used to going outside. She’s making progress, though she might have the occasional accident. If she doesn’t make it outside, she’ll use pee pads, a blanket, or towel indoors. She’s eager to learn and aims to please. Heather isn’t a fan of leashes, so I usually carry her outside instead—she’s light as a feather. Heather absolutely adores affection. She’ll be happiest when she’s with her person, whether that’s curled up in her cozy donut bed or snuggled up by your side. She showers you with love and affection when she feels it from you. Though she’s still figuring out toys, she did have a blast tossing around a sock and dragging it around the house, so she might enjoy a flat slinky stuffed toy. Heather would thrive in a home where someone is around often, as she has a bit of separation anxiety. She can be quite vocal about it, so apartment living might not be ideal for her. If you do need to leave, she’s comfortable in a large dog crate with her bed, food, water, and plenty of space to move around. Heather is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $300.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Otto - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hello big ole world, I'm Otto and I'm here looking to adopt me a family, a home...one I can say will be all mine! And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! I've had a very loving home until my person passed away. The family was either unable or didn't want me so I was surrendered to the local shelter. After just losing my person and my home, being thrown into a cold noisy place, I wasn't doing the best. This wonderful rescue saw this and pulled me outta there to give me a chance to find my loving second home. I is a sweet, adorable, social pup of around 2 years old and 17lbs that has that cuteness overload that will win over your heart with my charming and sometimes silly personality. I was used to my person being home with me and would be happiest with someone that is retired or works from home. I am not much for other 4 legged beings, I'd much rather hog all the attention as your one and only!! I is ready to start this next chapter in life with lots of puppy kisses, tail wags and cuddles with my new family!! I do great with people, they are my most favoritest thing but I would probably do best in a home with older (8+) kiddos. I am house trained, love love love car rides to see the sights and going for neighborhood strolls. I will need regular grooming to help keep me looking this stunningly handsome but my puppy dog eyes and butt wiggles will be so worth it!! I am sooooo ready to unleash all this awesomeness on a family and be that lil heartbeat at your feet, so if you think I'd be a pawsome fit for you and your lifestyle, please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application! It can be found at haydudeequine.org

Story
Scarlett the Poodle. Hello, my name is Scarlett and I am a little shy. I have never been socialized much and I am already 1.5 years old, so I am timid and will dart away from you with quick moves. My foster mom is trying to help me with that, and I am a little bit better with her than with foster dad. I came from a situation where there were a lot of us in a house and not much human interaction with any of us. I do love people and will follow you around all the time and have a great time with other little dogs like me. I have some separation anxiety and will try to find you wherever you are in the house. I am not good at staying alone in the crate and am house trained with the doggie door. I just got a groom today and did very well after I figured out what was going on. I don’t get snappy or anything, I just want to run away and hide. I will need a very patient person to adopt me, and one who is not gone from the house a lot. Preferably one with other small pets like me that I can get my queues from to know the rules of the house. A doggie door is a plus but not necessary. I do walk well on a leash, but I will need an understanding owner to help me with socialization and learning to trust. A fenced back yard is non-negotiable unless you live in an apartment and are wanting to take me out for walks. If left alone, I will howl and sing the song of my people, so please be aware of that if you work and live in an apartment. That will not work for me. I would prefer an adult-only home as I have not been around children. Children make a lot of sudden moves so that would make me crazy, diving for cover all the time to see if it is safe. I know that my perfect adopter is out there, the one with the patience of Job and the willingness to go the extra mile for me. I am waiting! Local Adoption fee is $200
