TEXAS Adoption Only Hello Everyone, My name is Bramble I am a 4 year old 17 pound mini poodle terrier mix. Hold your Horses though. I know that usually that means you have found the perfect size cuddle boy and lap baby. This is not me. I will not be sitting in your lap anytime soon. My foster mom is working very hard to let me know all the humans aren't terrible but I am slow to believe her. I have been here 8 months and I like treats from her and a random gentle head pat I've given mom permission to look at me & sweet talk me, but she'd better not try to pick me up. I no longer run away if we are in the same space and she is so excited for my progress. I just need to exist in your house until I'm fully comfortable and that is going to take a lot of time hot dogs and cheese and work on your part. Does your current dog need a friend? I love to play with other dogs and in fact I require a home with another dog who also like to play. I'm a totally different boy with my fur friends. Foster mum has cats and dogs so I do great with both. I also need a fully secured back yard with a privacy fence. Sorry no Chain link for me. If I get out you will not get me back. I know I'm looking for a unicorn and I'm hopeful that my unicorns are out there and will love me for who I am. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Hi! My name is JC and I am from Missouri. I am a 7 month old Doodle! Not sure what that means, but it sounds like a really fun word to say! I'm a little shy, but a lot of sweet, and would do really great with another dog in the home to show me the ropes. I am not 100% sure I can live with a cat, but so far at my temporary foster home in Missouri I haven't bothered with any of the outdoor cats at all! I will need some help learning how to use a leash. I sure would appreciate your help finding me my forever! From his foster: JC came to us super skittish & scared. With each day he came to trust us, quickly making my 10yr old daughter "his person!" He seems to be pretty well trained! Goes potty right away when we bring him out, even went to the door and "booped" the bells once to tell us! He's had a few accidents in the house (only when home alone with my kiddo-so take that with a grain of salt!) but knows to go to the potty pads! He sits to get his leash on & off, knows 'leave it' (which we use often when he sees his reflection and barks at himself!) His kennel is left open all day and he goes in to nap freely. Occasionally he'll be stubborn at night to go in, likely due to my daughter letting him sleep in bed with her 2 nights- mistake! But after about 2 min he goes to sleep! He has stolen our hearts! He is so sweet, so lovable, and just loves to cuddle! Each day he is trying new things, and coming out of his shell.... Learning to play with toys, explore treats, trying the "scary tower (ok, it's just a single flight of stairs!) We are certain that the perfect family will find him and will add so much joy & love to your home! He is still pretty skittish of new things, but on the flip side, loves exploring! Example: loves playing in the leaves, but when they move it 100% freaks him out! He loves being outside! Does great with kids, doesn't seem to mind other dogs.

Hi! My name is Justin and I am from Missouri. From his foster: Justin is a sweet boy with joyful puppy energy! He is a bit timid and shy but that doesn't stop him from being curious! He loves his special person but also loves everyone he has met. He loves love of all kinds!!! He is doing well with potty training on a schedule. He has learned to sit when he comes in from outside and before he eats - he loves his treats! He really enjoys chewing on bones and harder toys. He is learning to stay quietly in his crate but doesn't love it yet. He will use his voice when he doesn't like it. He does okay outside of crate when we are not around.

Hi! My name is Lance and I am from Missouri. Lance is a delightful boy. He is going to make someone very happy but he's going to need training and patience. Pros: Affectionate and likes to be with people. Happy to be picked up. And he loves to cuddle on the couch. His perfect black nose and fluffy coat is adorable. He is definitely food motivated (helps with training) he would probably be quick to learn tricks. He is playful and likes other dogs but knows when to stop.He is not fearful or timid. He's very social. He rests often, not crazy puppy energy, just right. Knows the command "go potty, be a good boy and he comes when called (usually.) And he's ok with being in a kennel. He will wimper for a few mins before he settles in and chills out. He hasn't had an accident in the kennel once! That's huge. Cons: He will need training, time and practice. He has little to no impulse control. His coat will need constant maintenance. Unless you keep it very short he will need to be brushed at least once a week. His coat is coarse not silky. At least so far. It might still be his puppy coat. He has hairy ears which means he will have to have his ears cleaned frequently and have his ear hair pulled out or trimmed when he's groomed. He can be prone to ear infections. He is a counter surfer and will get up in your food. He's getting better but the food motivation is strong. He barks with any sound, he loves to bark with the pack. So far he has not asked to go outside. However if you are on a consistent schedule he keeps his belly band dry. He is a wonderful puppy with a ton of personality and love to give. I sure would appreciate your help finding me my forever!

Name: Babs Breeds: Schnoodle Age: Adult Sex: Female Size: Small BABS IS IN BOARDING AND NEEDS A FOSTER HOME! Babs is an adult schnoodle who looks like she could pass for a little lamb. Babs is sweet, cute, and generally a quiet girl who wants someone to call her own and love on. She is great with other dogs, doesn’t mind the cats, and loves all people. She tends to hang back on her bed when the kiddos get too wild but she doesn’t mind it. Babs is housetrained once she knows the routine, crates well but we suspect she doesn’t need it, and has excellent house manners. She is a great mix of being young enough to be playful but mature enough to know her manners already and be a lady in the house. Babs has more of the poodle type coat and does not shed so her adoptive home needs to be prepared for frequent brushing and grooming every 6-8 weeks to prevent her from getting matted. Requirements: No special requirements Adoption Fee: $650 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, deworming, and microchip Interested in adopting? You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.      Hello, wonderful souls! I'm Peter, your soon-to-be charming companion! I'm a very handsome Miniature Poodle, and I'm discovering the joys of comfort and love in my foster home. Each day brings me more confidence, and I'm eager to share my overflowing love with a special someone—maybe that's you! I am a bit timid, sudden movements, commotion, and loud noises still make me a bit uneasy. However, I'm getting better at facing these fears every day. When foster mom is still, I'm all about those loving pets and cuddles. But if she's on the move, I keep my distance—I even bolt if she walks toward me. I know commands like "outside" and "stop," and leash and potty training are still on my to-learn list. I'm 95% potty trained, especially with a consistent routine. A fenced yard is a must for my adventurous spirit. I'd love to have a canine companion to show me the ropes, help me 'dog' properly, and boost my confidence. We're working on some manners, and my foster pals are excellent teachers. Walking on a leash needs some practice, and a confident pal by my side would be perfect. Despite being easily startled and a bit hand-shy, I've found joy in playing with toys, furry friends, and even those mysterious creatures called cats. I'm all about giving kisses, nibbling fingers, and enjoying ear scratches. Zoomies are my specialty, especially in the fenced yard or on the stairs. I've got some manners to polish up, like waiting for my turn and distinguishing between toys and household items – hee hee! I really am a sweet boy who is simply looking for the patience, unconditional love, and security that I SO richly deserve from my own fur-ever family! I really hope that YOU will be my new family because my heart is overflowing with love that I want to share with someone very special! Love, Peter *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.  Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses .   Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.   Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there! I’m Brioche, a two-year-old miniature poodle, and I weigh around 10 pounds. My journey started a bit shaky—literally. When I first came into rescue, I was so scared of people and this big, confusing world. But with the help of my amazing foster family, both the humans and my doggo friends, I’m slowly blossoming into a confident poodle princess. When I’m feeling playful, I love to throw toys around and chase them—it’s like I play fetch with myself! I also enjoy chewing on bones and going for walks, especially when I’m feeling frisky. But what I really love is curling up next to my foster humans and dog friends for some good cuddles. I’m learning more each day that the world can be a safe and fun place, even though I still get a little nervous sometimes. Loud noises and certain people can spook me, so I do best with a double leash when we’re out and about, just to make sure I stay safe. Speaking of being outside, I’m working on my leash training, and I’m getting better every day. I’m also practicing my potty training – I am very good about going outside and using a potty pad if I can’t make it. I used to love my crate so much that I never wanted to leave, but now that I’m feeling braver, I’m not so into the whole crate thing. I don’t mind eating in there, but if you close the door, I’ll definitely let you know I’m not a fan! I’m also super attached to my foster dog siblings, especially the Cavaliers here. If I can’t see them, I get a little panicked, so another dog is required in my forever home to help me feel safe and confident. Oh, and did I mention I have the most beautiful blue eyes? I’m a total sweetheart who loves to cuddle and be close to my people. Watching me come out of my shell little by little has been really special for my foster family. I just need someone patient who I can trust and who will help me continue to grow into the confident, happy girl I’m becoming. Could that be you? *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.
