Story
Meet Buster! This 2-year-old standard poodle boy is what dreams are made of! Here is what his foster mom has to say about him. "This dog is the sweetest... Someone is going to win the lottery with this guy... The only thing in the world he cares about is snuggling up next to you. He's going to be the ultimate best friend some lucky human, either child or adult! He only barks when he's telling you he needs to go outside. He is good with our dogs, from 9 lbs to 90. He is WONDERFUL with the cat! Blue actually really enjoys his attention because he is gentle and snuggly. He has only chewed on dog toys, nothing he's not supposed to. And he is GORGEOUS! He has the tightest curls and the most beautiful spots. He is just wonderful! ❤️" If you are interested in adopting this pup, please fill out an application, using the link below. Please specify which dog you are interested in. Applications without a specific dog, or otherwise incomplete, will not be considered. Adoption Fee is $425. Includes spay/neuter, current vaccines, and microchipping. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ITAV/Dog For more pictures and information on this pup, please visit our website at https://www.ittakesavillage.dog/adopt

Story
Mister Critter here surely caught your eye with his big brown eyes, without a doubt! He's absolutely adorable, and with a personality to match, he will make someone a great boy! At about 7 months old, Critter weighs in at approximately 30 pounds, so you can bet he will be a nice sized boy once he's full-grown! Critter knows everything, from basic obedience, to crate-training, and house-breaking; his family really loved him after all; and they did a wonderful job at creating such a remarkable boy! But Critter is in need of someone that can be just a bit more authoritative in order to work through his complex tendencies. BUT what we've also noticed, is that having another dog around, also helps so much, along with getting him neutered, as we already did! Critter is playful, snuggly, sweet, and beyond affectionate; he LOVES giving kisses, and receiving them in return, as well as playing fetch, tug, you name it! He's your typical lovable pup, that's one thing for certain! What we've noticed is that when Critter is done tolerating something, he's done with it, and will let you know. & we have been working him hard breaking this habit, with assertiveness and lots of mutual respect. He's been working through these things with us, and has been doing splendidly thus far; We reckon he was handled in ways he wasn't the biggest fan of as a young pup, and simply has learned it to keep himself feeling secure. So far, we've successfully gotten him through nearly everything at-home life consists of, and teaching him the proper ways to communicate when he's had enough of something, however, in order to keep his behavior on the right path, he's looking for someone willing to learn, and work with him to keep building his tolerance along with alllll the positive associations he needs! He does wonderful with other dogs, cats, & he lived in a home with kids up until now, and we think he'd be best with older kids, or those that understand dog communication signals.

Story
Marty is an 8-year-old Schnoodle, weighing in at a petite 9 pounds. His story began in a difficult way, found on a country road by a kind farmer, cold, dirty, and matted with fleas. After a few baths and some gentle grooming, Marty started to feel like himself again – and now he’s ready to start a new chapter in a loving home. Though Marty spent much of his life in a kennel, he’s learning what it means to be part of a family. It’s been a journey, but Marty now enjoys all the comforts of home, including snuggling in bed with his humans and curling up on the couch. He’s discovered the joys of dog toys and has become quite the playful little guy, bouncing around and chasing the other small dogs in his foster home. Marty is mostly housetrained, but he does best with frequent potty breaks, as he’s still getting used to the routine of living inside. Since wearing a collar and walking on a leash were new experiences for him, Marty will need a home with a physically fenced yard where he can explore safely. He does well with other dogs and enjoys their company, but meeting new people can be a bit stressful for him, so he’ll need a patient and understanding adopter who can help him feel secure and build trust. Once Marty feels safe with his people, he becomes a loving, loyal snuggler. He’s looking for a calm, patient home where he can continue to thrive and enjoy his newfound freedom. If you’re ready to give Marty the love he deserves, he will reward you with affection and joy. Marty is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. Marty also recently had his teeth cleaned. If you are interested in meeting Marty, please go to our website at www.furfunrescue.org and fill out the adoption application. If you would like to know more about our adoption process or about Marty you can contact rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Indoor homes only. Adopters within 2 hours of Cedar Rapids, IA only, please. Marty’s adoption fee is $300.
