Story
Meet Walnut! Walnut has come a long way since he arrived at Furkids. He has the most soulful eyes, and loves to be with people on walks or to simply have belly rubs. He is in the process of learning the PLACE, and DOWN command, and he offers SITS freely. He loves to run in the backyard at Furkids to release some of his energy, but he always checks in with his person when called. He would be good in a home with another dog that has medium energy as he does love to play. He would also be good with older children, but not smaller children as he doesn't understand how tall he is, and can be a bit clumsy. He would also do best in a home where someone has dog experience, or to invest in dog training as he still can be puppy like. Adopt Walnut and let his playful spirit fill your home with love and laughter. Walnut weighs 42lbs., is approximately 1 year old (est. birth date 09/05/2023), and his adoption fee is $500. Walnut has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Walnut, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. Meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Hi there, I’m Barkley, but you can call me “Stash” – yeah, you see that glorious mustache? I mean, I’ve got the facial hair of a gentleman, but don’t be fooled – I’m all about fun! They call me “Stash Barkley” around here because I rock this ‘stache like a legend. I’m a poodle mix (possibly with a little terrier in me), so I’ve got the charm and smarts, but just a heads-up – I can’t promise I’m completely shed-free. I’m four years old and have the energy of a puppy, which means I’m always up for playtime! Just this week, I learned this super cool game called fetch. (Why didn’t anyone tell me about this sooner?) You throw the toy, I bring it back, and we both get a good laugh – it’s the best! Toys? Obsessed. Chewies? Can’t get enough. Belly rubs? Just say when. I also love to wrestle and hang out with my foster brother and sister – they’re a pretty fun crowd, and I fit right in. I get along great with other dogs and people too, because I’m just the happiest little guy around! I’m still learning the whole potty-training thing. But now that I’m “fixed” (don’t ask – it was a bit of a surprise to me too), things should get easier. I’d do best with someone who’s home often or works from home regularly, especially while I’m getting the hang of potty training. And having a doggie friend and a yard for quick bathroom breaks would make things even better! Oh, and bedtime? I’m a pro. I sleep right through the night, snuggled up in bed with my foster parents – it’s cozy and perfect, just the way I like it. I came from a busy shelter after my previous family fell on hard times. But I’m not letting that bring me down – I’ve settled right into this new life and am ready to bring my mustache, my playfulness, and my love of life to a new forever family. So, whaddya say? Don’t you want this ‘Stash in your life? Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Adopting from Releash Atlanta means you will adopt a dog that has been fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and medically cleared!! While we make our best guesses, we often don’t know what breeds our kiddos are made of. We cannot guarantee our guesses will always be right but CAN guarantee they are 100% good dogs! Our adoption fee is $350. **We only adopt to families in/around Atlanta, Ga (about a 1-2 hour perimeter)** If you are interested in any of our dogs, please visit https://releashatlanta.com/adoptable-dogs.php to either view more of their profile or to apply to adopt! Story
Marco is the cutest, sweetest 15-year-old dog I have ever known. I adopted him from the Humane Society. Initially very timid, he has gradually come out of his shell. Marco mainly sleeps but will walk around when he's hungry, needs to go outside, or just wants to stretch his legs. He loves being outside and lying in the grass. Remarkably, he does not lick or bark—I've only heard him bark four times in the three years I've had him, the last time being two years ago. Marco has cataracts but manages to get around on his own, although he doesn't navigate stairs by himself. He is very friendly to other dogs and people. Due to his vision, it's best to let him smell your hand first before petting him, as he can get startled if approached too quickly. He is afraid of thunder, so expect him to seek snuggles during storms. Marco is an easy-going dog. If you want to sleep in, he'll sleep in too. I want Marco to have a home where he is attentively cared for, safe, and lo

Story
I will provide financial support for a year for food and doctor visits. 11 years old, Jack Russell & Poodle
Birthday: October 26th Bella is a sweet dog when in a safe comfortable space. Timid, especially around strangers. She’s incredibly loving and affectionate during one-on-one time. She’s potty trained, smart, and very alert—a true lifesaver. Bella would thrive best in a single-person household, ideally with an older adult or someone who can provide her with plenty of attention and love.
