Story
Miss Fiona has been through some tough times, but this little poodle is bravely learning to open her heart again. Beneath her cautious exterior is a gentle, loving soul just waiting to blossom in the right home. A calm, experienced home would be the perfect fit for Fiona. While younger children may be overwhelming for her at first, she absolutely adores the company of other dogs and would thrive with a canine companion by her side. What Fiona truly needs is a family of her own, one that can give her the happy, loving home she so deeply deserves. Could you be the one to give her the beautiful new beginning she's been waiting for?

Story
Here's a Posie you'll definitely want a pocket full of! This sweet little lamb is a tad timid at the moment, but she's still getting used to all the changes in her life. What Posie deserves for her retirement life is someone who can prove to her that she doesn't need to be scared. There is nothing more rewarding that watching this little girl's nubbin tail start to wiggle when she's feeling safe and loved. We got you, Posie! Here's some notes from her foster: This girl loves to sleep. She is very low maintenance. Stairs are not a problem for her. Her confidence is growing everyday. She is very loyal once she understands you are her caregiver and safe space. When I went to go pick her up after a sleepover she quickly came to me to whine and walk in circles around as her way of showing affection. Posie is very easy to potty train. As long as you take her outside pretty regularly she will be good! She has a very soft and gentle personality and sometimes likes to admire herself in the mirror. She is pretty quiet in general and have never heard her bark louder than one very soft rrrff!

Story
Sandra Dee  is a very sweet and cuddly dog.  It takes some time for her to warm up to humans, but once she does, she is such a delight!  She is surprisingly very social and lights up when friends visit with their dogs as well. She is happy to share her food and toy with the other dogs. She gets a bit fearful when she comes across a dog who is a bit too much for her.  For instance, if they won't stop sniffing her, or they try to play too rough, she will yelp and run to you for protection. Energy Level?  Medium House trained?  Yes Describe how they are on leash?  She freezes as soon as the leash goes on. She will need someone to help leash train her. Describe how they are with other dogs?  She is lovely with other dogs. At first, she is timid, but once she gets to know them, she will play with them as long as they do not play too rough or sniff her too long.. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?   He did fine meeting a cat, but of course, slow safe introductions are always recommended Commands they know?  Trying to teach her to sit and come.  She still needs more work, but she is smart! What are their favorite things?  She loves everyone and treats (she is picky with the treats though). She loves to just hang out, cuddle, and play with their humans. What do they need to work on?  Confidence. She needs to be with someone who has patience until she builds that confidence with you. Also needs to work on basic commands and walking on leash.   How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  She has been left home alone (with my dog) 2 days a week while I am at work (8hrs). At first she was confined to an Xpen, but now she has free roam the house.  She whines and howls at first, then settles down.  I leave a pee pad and she has only used it once, otherwise she can hold it. Where do they sleep?  At first she slept in her Xpen. She whined but after some reassurance, she quieted down and slept the entire night.  Now I let her free roam the house at night and she sleeps on her bed or in her open crate by herself and she is totally fine. What is their ideal home?  She will do well in a home with children (preferably older), single person who works from home or works partly from home, or in a home where adopters are retired.  She'd do great with other dogs as long as they do not play too rough, but also can be the only dog in the household.   Our Adoption fee is $325.   For adoption consideration or to meet our dogs , please complete our online application:   www.everypetsdream.org/adopt  and  we will have everything we need to know to call you back and set up an appointment.  Follow us:  Facebook  and  Instagram   November 5, 2024, 12:10 am
