Story
Meet Yogi! In October 2024, we rescued 12-year-old Yogi from Baldwin Park Shelter, where he had been brought as a stray. He is a fun and quirky little guy that needs a family who will be patient and give him time to settle in and feel comfortable. Might you be the understanding forever family Yogi needs? Yogi has been thriving in his Foster home. His Foster Mom reports it took a few weeks for him to get completely comfortable with her. Now, they share cuddles and kisses, and he is her little shadow! She is continuing to work with Yogi to be comfortable with others, and he has come a long way, although he can still get a bit scared. Yogi is noww allowing others to touch him now without reacting, and this is tremendous progress! Yogi is great with other animals! He gets along well with the dog in his Foster home and with other dogs and cats he's met. Yogi has somewhat limited hearing and sight, but he knows where his bed is and even puts himself in his soft enclosure at night. He doesn't have separation anxiety. Because he has no teeth, Yogi uses his gums and floppy tongue, so he needs a bigger bowl for his food. He's a foodie who gets so excited during meal prep that he starts dancing around the kitchen! Yogi loves going outside, and as long as he goes out every few hours, he doesn't have potty accidents. He walks to the door but doesn't vocally alert you when he needs to go. He's the sweetest boy, who loves to sleep and eat. He does zoomies when his foster mom gets home from work. Yogi is ready for his forever home! A little patience pays off with this sweet dog who really wants love and attention. If you're looking for a quirky, loving companion who's come a long way, Yogi might be the perfect addition to your family. Yogi would thrive in a home with another chill dog. He needs a family that can offer him patience and time to build trust and feel secure. If you have a spot in your heart for Yogi, please email our Placement Coordinators at adopt@frostedfacesfoundation.org.

Story
Meet Jack Dawson! Jack was entrusted to our care through the Final Wish Program when his mom moved into a memory care facility. Sadly, due to his mom's declining health, Jack did not receive the attention or care he deserved during the past year. His mom's friends advocated for Jack to become a Frosted Face, and on October 3rd, we happily welcomed him. Jack is very sweet, enjoys short walks, and does well with other dogs. He is 15 years old and weighs 24 lbs. Jack looks amazing after a much-needed appointment with our groomer. He also had a dental, and his mouth feels great after having 25 unhealthy teeth removed! Jack lived in a Foster home for two months and he received lots of TLC while we learned what he is like in a home environment. His Foster Mom reports: "Jack is an adorable boy who was clearly in much need of a loving home environment. It's wonderful to see how much growth he's shown. He is feeling so much better after having a dental and 25(!) yucky teeth removed. Jack likes being where you are, but is also okay enough being left home alone during the day. He does bark a little at first but eventually calms down. His favorite place in my apartment is the couch. He is a loving boy who will not be shy about wanting attention! Jack was clearly well-trained and knows sit and paw and the meaning of "no". He did have accidents in the beginning, but he is potty trained. While he did have some trouble with resource guarding and not really liking my own dog at first, I was quickly able to nip that in the bud. and he has grown to care for the three of us as a pack. In fact, one night when my own dog wasn't feeling well Jack woke me up and wouldn't go back to bed until I checked in on her! I've noticed that Jack has gained a lot of confidence through socializing with other dogs whom he likes and sees while on walks. He typically likes going on slow/medium paced walks, making him an awesome strolling buddy. He also tolerates sitting in the car quite well and can even jump in and out of my car. I usually take him with me whenever I run errands. Jack loves treats perks up if you even say that word around him! Please choose Jack if you are looking for a loyal, smart, loving, and well-mannered boy. Every time I tell people that he is 15, they are all floored- he seems much younger. Please don't hesitate to make Jack part of your family!" Jack is back on-site and ready for his forever home. Might it be with you? To meet this sweet cutie, please drop by between 10 AM and 3 PM. We look forward to your visit!

Story
Meet Mississippi! Mississippi was found as a stray and brought to San Bernardino City Animal Shelter. After becoming a Frosted Face, she immediately became a volunteer favorite because she’s just so sweet, snuggly, and happy! Mississippi loves going on our weekly group hikes and walks 3 miles on the trails full of tail wags and happy smiles. She sits on command, takes treats gently, has excellent leash manners, and no reactivity to other dogs or people. It's clear that Mississippi was once someone's much-loved girl, and she's very ready to be in that role once again! Mississippi just left on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn more about her in a home setting. Check back soon for an update!

Story
Meet Rascal Flatts! Rascal was entrusted to our care through the Final Wish Program after his mom passed away. He is only 7 years old, weighs 12 lbs., and is very sweet. Rascal became a Frosted Face on December 17th. The next day, a volunteer took him and another dog on a special outing. They went to a coffee shop for a pup cup (yum!) and to Kahoots to pick out treats & a toy. Then they strolled around Collier Park. We learned that Rascal loves car rides! He also loves going for walks. As you can see in the video, Rascal walked nicely right alongside his Frosted friend. Rascal just left on a two-week Frosted Fling to spend the holidays in a home enjoying extra love and attention. Check back soon for an update!

*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Grandma! 16-year Grandma needs a loving new home following the passing of her elderly owner. She loves people and is great with cats and other dogs! The great-granddaughter of her late owner shares: "Grandma is the sweetest dog and is so friendly and outgoing. She is very playful and loves playing with small dogs. She is so adaptable. Grandma would love to go on walks, cuddle, or basically do anything someone is doing with them. She just wants to be involved with everything. Grandma is sassy, too! If she is not getting the attention she wants, she will make adorable guinea pig noises to let you know how she is feeling. Grandma is blind, but that does not stop her from being right next to you! She likes to be involved in what's going on and follows anyone and everyone all around. Grandma will wait at the door to go potty, but since she is blind, it may take her a little longer to learn where the door is in a new home. She will also use puppy pads. Grandma is the epitome of a perfect companion." If you are looking for a loving and fun sidekick, please consider adopting Grandma! Email Sabrina at sabrinabrown595@gmail.com to learn more. *Frosted Faces Foundation has not assessed this dog medically or behaviorally.*
