Story
This is Waffles, he was found as a stray in Tijuana in March 2024 and we adopted him in May. We estimate he is about 3-4 years old based on the condition of his teeth. Waffles is a reactive dog. We wanted to try giving him to a home that's a better fit because 98% of the time he is very sweet. He just might be happier in a home with a single person that he can bond to. The dynamic with my husband and myself as his co owners has been hard on him; he prefers my husband, doesn't see me as equal to him and acts accordingly. He's bitten me 4 times, as well as the groomer once and a friend that dog-sat for us. We hired a personal dog trainer through Bark Busters pretty soon after we got him and have had him on Prozac and Gabapentin for 6-8 weeks now, but the biting has continued. He's very smart and quickly learned Sit, Lie Down, Shake and has made good progress on roll over, and he's very affectionate when he wants to be. He loves to play with toys too.

We adopted Rosie Baby 2 months ago when I had a much more free schedule. She is currently 5 months old. She is kennel trained but not house trained. I was trying to train her so she could roam the house freely but she can only roam the house right after she goes potty. Aside from house training her she is a great puppy. She is endlessly curious, loves but does not need too much cuddles. She stays in whatever general area your in and mostly listens and comes when called. She’s only 5 months so I think she’s doing great, I just lost backyard access and find it cruel to leave her in the kennel for 8 hours while I work. I’m looking for a home where she has a backyard to play in or someone who can give her the walks or dog parks she deserves. As she is a puppy she gets overly excited with kids and you have to wait for her to calm down and stops trying to jump on you so medium to big kids are ok, and maybe tough little kids. To me she’s the best inbetween of independent and needy.

Here's a Posie you'll definitely want a pocket full of! This sweet little lamb is a tad timid at the moment, but she's still getting used to all the changes in her life. What Posie deserves for her retirement life is someone who can prove to her that she doesn't need to be scared. There is nothing more rewarding that watching this little girl's nubbin tail start to wiggle when she's feeling safe and loved. We got you, Posie! Here's some notes from her foster: This girl loves to sleep. She is very low maintenance. Stairs are not a problem for her. Her confidence is growing everyday. She is very loyal once she understands you are her caregiver and safe space. When I went to go pick her up after a sleepover she quickly came to me to whine and walk in circles around as her way of showing affection. Posie is very easy to potty train. As long as you take her outside pretty regularly she will be good! She has a very soft and gentle personality and sometimes likes to admire herself in the mirror. She is pretty quiet in general and have never heard her bark louder than one very soft rrrff! She likes butt scratches and shows her trust and affection by resting her head in your hand whenever you're petting her under her chin. And when she has missed you after a long day away from her at work, she has a sudden burst of puppy energy in greeting you with little hops and stubby tail wags.
