You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    DOB: 10/01/2015 Requires another dog in home: Yes, needs another confident dog Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes, dog friendly dogs Okay with cats: Unknown Okay with children under 12 years old: Unknown Weight: 13 pounds Requires a fenced yard:  Yes, needs a fence  Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello, my name is Jessie and I am the perfect combination of sweet and gentle. I am a timid and shy girl who is making tremendous progress living in a home with a loving family. I have learned so many things – the most important is to trust my people. My people have been very gentle and going slow with me and I have made a lot of progress. She gives me little massages on my head and back – it is so relaxing for me and my people. I have the softest coat and I think you will agree! I am a shy little girl, so having a confident dog in my forever home is required. Another dog will be helpful to show me the ropes, help me get on a routine and help me feel comfortable in my surroundings. Foster mom tells me with a little time and a lotta love, I will come out of my shell and be a great friend to my people. A lot of commotion worry me a bit, so I spend time in my comfy bed watching the activity in the house. Hopefully you have lots of comfy beds for me! Potty training is going great, my foster mom carries me outside and I am good about doing my business on a routine. While I will go potty on a leash, I don't know how to go for walks yet so will need a fence. Maybe there is another dog in the house to show me how to walk on a leash? Hopefully! Anyway, I am ready for my forever. My forever family, my forever home and my forever best friend that will love me unconditionally, not give up on me! I promise I’m worth it and I will fill that hole that you possibly never even knew was there! Love, Jessie *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.      ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi, I am Gladys! I am a sweet senior girl. I am always curious about what everyone is doing! I am crate trained and close to house trained if you keep me on a schedule. I am pretty quiet and want to be your friend!  Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there, I’m Fudge! I’m an 8-month-old Pomeranian puppy, weighing in at 12 pounds of fluff and personality. Life’s been a little overwhelming for me so far, but I’m making big strides every day—and I’m ready to find my forever family to keep cheering me on! When I first arrived, I was pretty timid and liked to hide in the back of my crate. But now, I’m getting curious and brave, especially during evening couch time when I love to join the doggy pile. I’m still figuring out new things, so I’ll need a fenced yard to help me explore safely until I’m ready to tackle leash training. I’m crate trained and will bark to let you know when I need to go potty, though I’m still working on being fully potty trained. Sometimes I bark at night or when I’m left alone, but a gentle “quiet” helps me settle down. I’ve discovered I love chewing on cow hooves and nylabones, and I’m getting better at accepting treats—yum! I’m also learning to play with toys and just started chasing a ball. I’m funny, animated, and getting more trusting every day. I’ve even started joining in with the other dogs in the house for activities. If you’re looking for a sweet, spunky pup who’s ready to blossom with your love and patience, I’d love to meet you. Let’s make memories together! *I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward.
