Story
Kelly is a very handsome and happy pup that we believe is a Schipperke or mix. We were told that he was 16 years old but our vet believes that he is closer to 10 years old. His eyes and teeth look great for a senior and he definitely appears to be much younger. Kelly is a male and he weighs 18lbs. Kelly has only been with us for a short time but we know he’ll make a wonderful companion. He’s been good with all the dogs here aside from trying to hump one of the girls, but he soon grew tired of that. Kelly has a moderate activity-level so he would love a home where he can get some nice walks and then lounge on the couch. He has not been vocal with us but please know that can change in a new environment. He’s great in the car. Kelly is up to date on vaccines and recently had full bloodwork. He is intact so he will need to be neutered. This will be done at our vet and covered by VPR. He will also have a dental cleaning done at the same time. To apply to adopt Kelly, please fill out an application at vintagepetrescue.org/adopt

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE   Age: 2 Years, 7 Months (as of 1/21/25) Weight: 23.6 Pounds  (as of 1/21/25) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.   Meet Daisy! Daisy is a sweet, gentle and playful girl, best described as the perfect house guest. This little lady has basic crate training skills and has not had any recent potty accidents in the house. She has not mastered leash training just yet as the weather has not been ideal for walks, but she hopes this could become a bonding activity with her new family! Daisy has adapted quickly to a busy foster home with multiple children, dogs, livestock and even a cat. She’s very intelligent and has a bit of a prey drive for smaller sized animals, however. One of Daisy’s most precious qualities is that she is especially patient and affectionate with children. She would make a lovely addition to any family. We know that Daisy will “bloom” in a home with lots of love, plenty of cuddles and a bit of physical activity each day.  An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see    HERE    for more information about this. We strongly encourage basic obedience training for all our dogs, as it not only helps your dog “blossom” into a well-balanced canine citizen with good manners, but it also helps to form a lasting bond between your dog and the humans in your family. Daisy is a sweet and lovable girl, longing for her forever home. Will you become best “buds” and make her dreams come true? Fill out an application today and let her know that you'd love to have her join your family!   To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 1, 2025, 4:49 pm
