PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING!   Hi, I’m Max! I’m a smart, happy, and quirky guy looking for my forever home! I know sit, stay, paw, spin, and I can even lay down if you figure out my special hand signals. When I need to go potty, I’ll gently tap you with my paw—no accidents on my watch! I only bark when I see ghosts… the rest of the time, I’m pretty chill. I’m calm around other dogs, even if they’re loud or grumpy, but I get nervous if someone surprises me. If that happens, I might nibble, so I need a patient human who will work with me. I also get a little nibbly if you pet my back legs too excitedly… I’m just figuring out what I like. I love getting brushed—I even fall asleep while someone is brushing me. Walks are my jam, and I’m happy running short distances too! I’m not crate trained, but I do well in a gated area with a puzzle toy or frozen kong to keep me busy. I calm down in about 10–15 minutes. I’m a couch cuddler, but I have my quirks—I’m not a bed dog. I like to be touching you, even if it’s just with my back paw. I’m also a little sneaky with cheese and ice cubes, so keep an eye out! I’m clever and can open doors, so I need a home where doors are secure. I need someone who’s willing to work with me and continue professional training. I promise to be a loyal, loving, and hilarious companion for the right person who understands me. MFP has trainers who are willing to work with me if I have a stable adopter who can commit to my training and schedule. I would need a home with only one or two adults in it, preferably with no other dogs to really focus on my needs. If you think we could be a match, come meet me—I can’t wait to make you smile! Adoption FEE: $450 which includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. Story
PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING!   5-year-old Shiba Inu • Neutered • Vaccinated • TRAINING COVERED BY MFP Meet Twitch, a 5-year-old Shiba Inu who just lost the only home he has ever known. After five years with his family, he is being surrendered due to behavioral concerns and a bite incident at home. His owner describes him as friendly, loyal, and a genuinely good boy who needs guidance, structure, and a calm environment to thrive. Shibas are known for being independent, sensitive, and extremely intelligent and Twitch is no different. He has some behaviors that need correction, and with the right home he has the potential to be an incredible companion. What we know about Twitch: • 5 years old • Neutered & fully vaccinated • On flea/tick/heartworm prevention • Friendly with familiar people • Aloof but manageable with strangers • Can be friendly, fearful, or unsure with other dogs • No experience with cats • No current medical issues • Needs a patient, experienced foster or adopter • Has a bite history so no children and preferably someone familiar with the Shiba breed or with experience handling behavioral cases What Twitch Needs Right Now A calm, structured home No kids A foster or adopter willing to work with our team and possibly a trainer Someone patient, dog-savvy, and compassionate Twitch deserves a chance. He deserves someone who will help him decompress and understand the world again. His owner believes he can be corrected and that he truly wants to be a good companion he just needs the right environment. Adoption FEE: $450 which includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals.
