Brave, strong, beautiful- that’s how Valentina’s foster family describes her. She is all of the above, she is also obedient, smart, loyal, loving, affectionate, cat and dog friendly, and such a bright spirit! Valentina is a beagle mix of some sort- she is a rescue, so age and breed are just best guesses! We estimate Valentina to be around 1 year old, still young enough to train and socialize from the ground up, but grown out of the terrors that puppyhood can bring. She knows when and how to exit an interaction, and didn’t bat an eye at other dogs getting up close and personal with her. With kitties, Valentina is amazing! A total sweetheart, she showed no reactivity or prey drive with our house cat, Tom. See Valentina’s cat test for yourself in her video. Valentina also lives with cats in her foster home. With humans, Valentina is so gentle, sweet and loving. She is a very social pup that warms up to new humans quickly. She likes to give little kisses, and she’s so snuggly- this girl will find a way to be touching you, no matter the situation. In our time together, she spent a lot of time standing quietly with her side touching my leg, or sitting in my lap, or extending one paw to touch my leg as we sat on the ground together. She is very confident though, not overly needy, she just enjoys human affection! Playtime with Valentina is soooo cute and fun, she likes to play fetch, chomp on stuffies, or play “find the treat.” This cutie has a SNIFFER on her, she found lots of unclaimed treats around the rescue. She would probably appreciate puzzle toys and sniff mats! Valentina is so calm for her age, no rambunctious outbursts, barking or pacing. She’s all about being in the present moment, connecting with the humans around her, and enjoying all that rescue doggy life is. She’s good on leash, she has great house manners, and here at the rescue, didn’t have any accidents in the house. She rides easily in the car, and she’s so social, friendly and loving with new humans that bringing her out and about will be easy! Valentina also did well in her crate here at the rescue, and does well in her crate at her foster mom’s house. Valentina has not been kid tested yet, but we suspect she’ll do just fine with little ones. She’s so gentle and sweet, loyal and affectionate. Valentina’s perfect home has at least one loving human to call her own. She’s small and quiet enough to do well in an apartment, people-focused enough to do well as a solo-dog, but good enough with other dogs to do well as one of many. Valentina has been cat tested and could happily live with dog-savvy kitties. She’s not very picky about her forever home, she just hopes to find it soon! Valentina is a dream dog. So so so cute, affectionate, naturally happy and well behaved. Dogs like this are once-in-a-lifetime, and with a face that cute- Valentina will likely be adopted fast! This precious boy is Malibu. He is approximately 5 months old, and we think he may be a Hound/Husky mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! The first thing you notice about Malibu are his eyes. One is ice blue and the other a soft brown. When he looks at you, it's absolutely arresting how striking he is - this adorable boy is definitely a head-turner. He is unique in many ways— he has legs for dayyysss and a long tail that spins around like a helicopter propeller when he gets excited. It’s so cute! You can watch his adoption video below! What we do know is that he is a playful cuddle bug. He loves belly rubs, treats, but his favorite are stuffies!!! Bonus points if they have a squeaker. He will adorably walk around with one in his mouth, chomping away and self entertaining while you can focus on other things around the house. Malibu also loves affection. He will press his little body up against you ready for pets and sneak in some kisses to show his love. We think Malibu would be an excellent walking and hiking partner because he loves the outdoors. If you are up for a trek in the woods, or along suburban trails, Malibu will be right by your side, ready for every outdoor opportunity. Malibu is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. That sweet, squishable face belongs to Curly, a calm, loving, easy-going little guy with a huge heart and the cutest curly tail. So lovey, people friendly, good with dogs and cats, a great companion dog!! Curly is around 1 year old, and we suspect him to be a hound mix of some sort. He has a looooong body, short legs with feet that splay out and the cutest underbite with yellow golden eyes. Curly weighs in around 56 pounds right now, tiny but beefy with his short little legs! A “small” big dog, the perfect size for couch snuggles. Curly opens up quickly with new humans, he will ask just about anyone for belly rubs. I just know that it will be “love at first sight” for him the moment he meets his forever family. He’s super affectionate, but not overly pushy about it, and doesn’t jump up for pets. He’s such a good boy! Curly did well meeting other dogs here at the rescue, and currently lives in a foster home with multiple other dogs. He gets along well with all that he meets, and he’s loving and sweet with other dogs. Curly is all about sweet puppy kisses, and going with the flow. Curly plays with his foster doggy-sister every day and would likely do well in a home with another moderately playful dog to keep him company. Here at the rescue, Curly was cat tested by our behavior team. He did really well meeting our house cat Tom, he was unfazed by him and quickly shifted his focus back to his people. Our behavior team recommends Curly for a home with dog-savvy cats! Curly is new to all the luxury a life with loving humans can afford. So far, he does well in the car, and does well in the house. He has great house manners, and doesn’t have accidents indoors in his foster home, or at the rescue. He’s still learning how to walk on leash, but he’s great about checking in with his people, and doesn’t bark at other dogs while he’s on leash. With consistent training, Curly could learn to love the leash. For the time being, we do recommend Curly for a home with a fenced yard, so that potty breaks aren’t too stressful. Curly’s perfect home has at least one loving human, and another dog to keep him company, but he’s not too picky about the rest. Curly could live with kitties, and would love a couch to curl up on. This sweet boy will make such a wonderful companion, he’s an easy-going boy, and sooo loving. Curly will bring so much joy into your life.
