WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌟🐾 Meet Gypsy — Short Legs, Big Heart, Still Waiting 💛🐾 Gypsy has been waiting… and waiting… and waiting. And honestly? She’s waited far too long for a girl this special. At 2 years old and 28 pounds, Gypsy is a delightful blend of Cattle Dog smarts and Basset Hound charm — think low-rider body, big-dog energy, and a personality that could light up a room. She’s basically the off-road model of a best friend: compact, sturdy, and always ready for an adventure. Gypsy LOVES her walks and is getting better and better on leash every day. She’s happiest when she’s outside, exploring the yard, supervising chores, or keeping an eye out for squirrels (her self-appointed job, and she takes it very seriously). When playtime winds down, she’s just as content following her favorite human around like a loyal little shadow. She’s playful, affectionate, and full of goofy charm. Toys are fun. Shoelaces are very intriguing. And her signature low-rider zoomies? Absolutely legendary. 🐾 Gypsy’s Highlights: ✅ 2 years old, 28 lbs ✅ Dog-friendly ✅ House & crate trained ✅ Loves walks and outdoor time ✅ Sweet, silly, and full of personality ✅ Equal parts sass, snuggles, and sunshine While Gypsy does great with other dogs, cats are an unknown — mostly because Gypsy believes squirrels are public enemy #1 — so she may prefer a home without feline roommates. What Gypsy really wants, though, isn’t much. She wants a family who will love her quirks, laugh at her goofy legs, and finally give her the forever home she’s been patiently waiting for. She’s ready to be someone’s hiking buddy, couch companion, and daily dose of happiness. 💛 Gypsy has so much love to give — she just needs someone to give her a chance. Short legs. Big heart. Endless loyalty. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Gypsy finally stop waiting and start living the life she deserves. 🐾💛

Story
DOROTHY is a silly, slightly naughty beagle girl looking for a home. She's fun and affectionate but also kind of a hoarder. She will drag all toys, chewies, blankies and extra dog beds into her favorite bed, then climb in for a nice snooze. It's adorable. Dorothy is probably 8-9 years old but she doesn't act her age. She enjoys running in the yard with her foster siblings. She isn't playing with them yet but engages in lots of play bows. She's housebroken, crate trained, dog and cat friendly. She's a good sized beagle, her ideal weight is around 30 pounds but she's carrying around a few extra pounds right now. Dorothy needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep her from following her beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Dorothy, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Dorothy at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Story
MELANIE is a lovely little lemon beagle girl looking for a home. She is petite little blondie, about 5 years old and fully grown at just 22 pounds. Melanie is a little timid when meeting new people an in new situations. She comes around quickly if you offer up some tasty treats. Melanie has probably given birth to multiple litters of puppies but her days as a babymaker are over. She's ready to cuddle up on the sofa, sniff around the yard and play with her fur siblings. She needs a physically fenced yard to keep her from following her beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Melanie, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org.
