Story
Bellie is truly the “belle of the ball” in her foster home! This stunning 5-year-old brindle-and-white sweetheart pours all 40 pounds of herself into one thing: LOVE. If affection were a food group, she could live on it alone! Supremely sweet, calm, and quiet, Bellie thrives on snuggling with her foster mom and isn’t shy about using her paws to politely demand more love, pets, and attention. Bellie’s charm extends far beyond her foster home. She does wonderfully with older children and greets everyone—strangers included—with happy tail wags and a friendly demeanor. She enjoys leisurely walks (perfecting her leash skills as she goes), loves sniffing her way through grassy trails, and is an enthusiastic passenger for car rides. Her playful side shines through with her love of plush toys, filled Kongs, and lick mats. As endearing as a puppy when she plays, Bellie’s also a quick learner. She responds to her name, knows “come,” “sit,” and “leave it,” and is motivated by love, toys, and tasty treats. Crate trained and nearly fully house-trained, she’s already an impressive companion. Bellie is currently being treated for heartworm disease, so she’s taking life at a slower pace. For now, rest is key, but once she’s recovered, she’ll be ready for longer walks and plenty of playtime. Bellie’s dream home? A cat-free haven where she can be the only dog and reign as the Queen, Princess, AND Duchess of her domain, basking in all the attention she so richly deserves. If you’re ready for a lifetime of snuggles and unconditional love, Bellie is waiting to steal your heart! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Cowboy is 30lbs, and a happy boy. I adopted him from the shelter a year ago and don't have enough time to give him, or the exercise and space he needs. He is about 2-3 years old.

Story
Hi, I'm Jewlz. I'm a 1 year old Beagle mix and I love to say hello! My owner unforunetly couldn't take care of me anymore so I'm bouncing to get a new home. I do great with everyone and would make a great addition to any family.  If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2282346##
