Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Seattle💟 Meet Dahaeng 🧡 Dahaeng was brought to the shelter drenched in blood after a traffic accident, lying at the crossroads of life and death. His severe condition, with torn skin and a completely fractured right toe, was so dire that immediate rescue was necessitated. Fortunately, he has recovered well after surgery. * With People: He's a real charmer with his family, showering them with affection! With strangers, he prefers a slow approach but enjoys being petted once he's comfortable. * With Dogs: He's eager to greet and sniff other dogs. Rather than playing, he prefers calm interactions and gets along wonderfully with a canine buddy at his foster home. * With Cats: Initially curious, he has calmed significantly through training and is continually improving. * Separation Anxiety: He enjoys his alone time without any signs of separation anxiety. * Potty Training: He's proficient in both indoor and outdoor potty habits. If the pad's placement is shown properly, he does well; however, early accidents might occur, so it's advisable to remove carpets or water-absorbent materials beforehand. * Walking: He has a slight tendency to pull on the leash, especially when he sees other dogs or cats, but ongoing training is improving this behavior. * Hygiene Management: He handles baths very well. Due to his fear of hairdryers, he's towel-dried thoroughly. Regular walks help keep him clean and healthy. * Car Sickness: He manages short trips well, but longer than 30 minutes can induce motion sickness. He still needs practice getting used to car rides. * He has mastered commands such as 'give paw' and 'wait'!

Story
Hi everyone, I have a male Samoyed that’ll be turning 2 years old mid to late November. There’s been a lot of changes recently that has lead me to this devastating decision. One being I have to get a second job and no longer will have the time to properly take care of him. If interested, there are more details I will provide to serious inquiries. He is not neutered, no fleas or diseases and he is due for his annual vaccinations. He will come with a leash, collar, harness, poop bags, dog bed, leftover food and any leftover treats, his favorite toys, grooming supplies, a pet blow dryer, a rain jacket, and the doggy hoodie he's wearing in the photo. This is something I'm not excited to do but is what’s best for him and his overall well being. Would prefer him to be with a family and/or with other dogs as he thrives in those environments. He’s very sweet and overly friendly. He’s pretty talkative and he also loves cats and kittens and knows how to be gentle with them.

These pups are in Seattle, Washington too!

Story
The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.Gladys's foster mom says: "she's such a loving, sweet girl who's incredibly easy to care for. Calm and super affectionate, she spends most of her time lounging, enjoying belly rubs, cuddles, and kisses. She's fully potty trained, and rarely ever barks. Honestly, she's the easiest foster I've ever had!"This 10-year-old beauty is truly the perfect mix of calm and cuddly, making her an ideal companion for someone who's looking for an easy going companion. Gladys is a master of relaxation and loves to just chill around the house and spend time with her humans. She enjoys gentle, easy walks and absolutely loves snuggles, belly rubs and nose kisses. She's a people-lover through and through and will quickly become your best snuggle buddy! While she's great with other dogs 98% of the time, Gladys can get a little protective over her food with other dogs (not humans). For this reason, she would do best as the only dog in the house so her human can relax without worrying about any food-sharing mishaps! She's fully potty trained, great with kids, does well being left alone when needed and hardly ever barks. If you're looking for a laid-back, affectionate companion who's all about love and loyalty, Gladys is the girl for you! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Interested in adopting? See our adoption process. KANGA  thrives on adventure and would love an active adopter who will take him on adventures and give him plenty of play time! Kanga is a loyal guy and will be a great companion for someone. He LOVES the snow in the winter and to swim in the summer.  His number one favorite activity (even more than walks and treats) is going for car rides! He likes feeling the wind in his face through an open window (car surfing). Kanga is incredibly observant and curious. Kanga’s comfort with people has grown significantly while in rescue. He does need a little time to build trust, but eventually he will follow you around and give you kisses! He is also quite affectionate and loyal to those he bonds with. Kanga has excellent house manners and is happy to chill on his bed or lay beside you as you work. He has basic training and knows: sit, down, come, get it, stay, and release and is ready for the next level of training. He is very treat motivated and responds well to a clicker. Kanga just needs to know you can be counted on to pay attention to his physical cues when he’s feeling overwhelmed. Kanga would do best in a home setting with a secure yard and would prefer to be your only pet. He might do well with savvy teens as long as they are aware of Kanga’s “dog language” and can give him space when he needs it.  Are you the active, patient, forever home that Kanga is seeking? Kanga is currently enjoying the amenities of our Malley Valley doggie resort.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 1, 2024, 2:05 pm
