Story
I'm Carrot, a charming 2-year-old Samoyed Jindo mix looking for my forever home. My journey began in 2021 when I, along with my mom and siblings, was sadly abandoned near a stream. Fortunately, Yongin Animal Protection Association in S. Korea rescued me, and now I'm ready to share my love with you. I might be a bit shy at first, but my love for people knows no bounds. I warm up quickly, and before you know it, I'll be nuzzling against you for those cherished cuddles. My social skills extend to my furry friends too; I get along famously with other dogs and am always eager to make new acquaintances. I'm leash-trained and well-behaved in my kennel. I have a moderate energy level, so after our adventures, I'm content to lounge and relax by your side. Oh, and during our walks, I might leave a little mark to let others know I've been there—it's just my way of saying hello! I'm not possessive about food, and barking is not my style. Let's embark on this journey together—filled with wagging tails, shared moments, and everlasting love. https://youtu.be/p2fh5ZN-Pmo?si=WknE4vcSLh9EdpG2 https://youtu.be/G-kY7LemLX4?si=k8ktWS01_L2fT8Fg

Story
Name: Gomi Age: 1 year old Gender: Male Neutralization: Completed Breed: Samoyed & Jindo Mix Color: Black Hey there! I'm Gomi, a charming mix of Samoyed and Jindo, with sleek, shiny black fur and an adorable face that's bound to steal your heart. My journey hasn't been easy – I was born and raised in a dog meat farm, where every day was a struggle to survive. But thanks to a stroke of luck and some compassionate souls, I've been given a shot at a brand new life, and now I'm eagerly waiting for my forever family to find me. I'm a social butterfly with an easygoing personality. Meeting new people? Piece of cake! I love everyone I meet, from old friends to total strangers, and I'm always up for a good cuddle session – no treats required! Just being around me, you'll feel a sense of warmth, comfort, and pure joy radiating from my furry self. When it comes to other furry friends, I'm generally open to making new pals. However, I might not see eye to eye with bigger, more assertive personalities, so it's probably best if I find a home where I can be the center of attention or with smaller, more easygoing companions. I'm a pro at enjoying the simple things in life – good food, fun playtime, and leisurely strolls in the great outdoors. While I'm not much of a toy enthusiast, I absolutely adore spending time with my human pals and going on exciting adventures. Plus, I'm a leash-walking champ and always make sure to take care of business outside like a true gentleman. Despite the challenges I've faced in my past, I'm ready to embrace the future with open arms and a heart full of love. If you're in need of a loyal companion who'll stick by your side through thick and thin, look no further – I'm your guy! Story
I'm a 2-year-old male Cream-colored Samoyed and Jindo mix, and I have a story to tell you. In 2021, when I was just a little pup, I, along with my mom and siblings, was abandoned near a creek. Luckily, the kind folks at the Yongin Protection Association rescued us and brought me to a shelter. I've been waiting patiently for a family to call my own ever since. I'm a real sweetheart, you know. I love people, get along great with other dogs, and I'm always up for some playtime. It doesn't take me long to warm up to new faces; I'll be nudging you for pets and attention in no time. When it comes to meeting other doggy pals, I'm all for it—I'm friendly and love making new friends. However, being cooped up in the shelter has left me a bit unaccustomed to the outside world. When I first step out for a walk, I get so excited that I tend to pull on the leash. But don't worry, once I've had a good run around and let out some energy, I settle down to a more leisurely pace. That's when my playful side really shines—I'll show you just how charming and adorable I can be. One special thing about me is that I'm not much of a barker, and I'm quite well-behaved in my crate. So, if you're looking for a companion who brings joy without the noise, I might just be the one for you! https://youtu.be/8OVIqiqF_Go?si=fr027T3O1Dzn8opI https://youtu.be/HOugrw0G_Ew?si=r8TuPH9p_4qT4rf5 https://youtu.be/G-kY7LemLX4?si=k8ktWS01_L2fT8Fg

The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.Gladys's foster mom says: "she's such a loving, sweet girl who's incredibly easy to care for. Calm and super affectionate, she spends most of her time lounging, enjoying belly rubs, cuddles, and kisses. She's fully potty trained, and rarely ever barks. Honestly, she's the easiest foster I've ever had!"This 10-year-old beauty is truly the perfect mix of calm and cuddly, making her an ideal companion for someone who's looking for an easy going companion. Gladys is a master of relaxation and loves to just chill around the house and spend time with her humans. She enjoys gentle, easy walks and absolutely loves snuggles, belly rubs and nose kisses. She's a people-lover through and through and will quickly become your best snuggle buddy! While she's great with other dogs 98% of the time, Gladys can get a little protective over her food with other dogs (not humans). For this reason, she would do best as the only dog in the house so her human can relax without worrying about any food-sharing mishaps! She's fully potty trained, great with kids, does well being left alone when needed and hardly ever barks. If you're looking for a laid-back, affectionate companion who's all about love and loyalty, Gladys is the girl for you! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Interested in adopting? See our adoption process. KANGA  thrives on adventure and would love an active adopter who will take him on adventures and give him plenty of play time! Kanga is a loyal guy and will be a great companion for someone. He LOVES the snow in the winter and to swim in the summer.  His number one favorite activity (even more than walks and treats) is going for car rides! He likes feeling the wind in his face through an open window (car surfing). Kanga is incredibly observant and curious. Kanga’s comfort with people has grown significantly while in rescue. He does need a little time to build trust, but eventually he will follow you around and give you kisses! He is also quite affectionate and loyal to those he bonds with. Kanga has excellent house manners and is happy to chill on his bed or lay beside you as you work. He has basic training and knows: sit, down, come, get it, stay, and release and is ready for the next level of training. He is very treat motivated and responds well to a clicker. Kanga just needs to know you can be counted on to pay attention to his physical cues when he’s feeling overwhelmed. Kanga would do best in a home setting with a secure yard and would prefer to be your only pet. He might do well with savvy teens as long as they are aware of Kanga’s “dog language” and can give him space when he needs it.  Are you the active, patient, forever home that Kanga is seeking? Kanga is currently enjoying the amenities of our Malley Valley doggie resort.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 4, 2024, 6:39 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Interested in adopting? See our adoption process. Little Miss SHELBY is a sweetheart with a big smile and a nonstop tail wag!  Based on her size, we expect she is a malamute and husky mix, bringing the best of both breeds.  She knows basic commands, "sit", "down" and "wait" but could use further training.  She is food motivated which will help when teaching her new commands and tricks.  SHELBY is good on the leash and will enjoy joining you on all of your outdoor adventures.  She is a  loving, playful, active girl who generally does well with other dogs once they have established who is boss in the house (hint: it's her!). SHELBY has food allergies that will require a special diet and lifetime of medication.  Therefore, she needs a family that can afford her medications, special food and has the time to administrator them. SHELBY would love for you to open up your home to her and she promises to not steal the couch...well, at least not the whole couch! SHELBY is currently being fostered by a loving family in Eastern Washington.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 4, 2024, 6:39 pm
