Akita Mix 1 year old Male 66 pounds Kids · 8+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No What My Friends Say About Me: I’m a sweet and affectionate boy who absolutely loves people! I’ve got a lot of energy to burn! Whether it’s a game of fetch, chasing after a ball, or just running around the yard, I’m always up for some fun! I get along well with other dogs and love making new furry friends. The Type of Home I’m Looking For: I haven’t had any experience with cats, so I’m not sure how I’d react. For now, I think it’s best if I stick to my dog pals. I’m an energetic guy, so I’d do best with children over the age of 8 who can keep up with my playful nature. I could use some positive reinforcement training to help me become the best dog I can be. My adoption fee is $300 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
I traveled out to Tennessee to adopt Kaiah. My friend adopted her brother who also lives in Portland and they get together once a week. Kaiah is a Malamute, German Shepherd, with 25% wolf and a small amount of husky. She’s extremely skiddish around new people. She’s so loving and sweet with my family. I have 3 kids and a cat and she loves all of them very much. At the dog park she’s amazing and loves other dogs and avoids fights. She is very high energy and requires lots of exercise. She’s just over a year old. A yard will be very important. Also she digs under fences and can climb chain fences, so you’ll need something secure. I’m heartbroken that I have to rehome her, but I’m going through a divorce and having to head back into the office for work. Just a bad situation. Hoping to find her a loving home:)
