MY RESCUE STORY
The rescuer went to feed the cats when they heard desperate barking coming from a landscaped nursery across the street, where Korean fir trees had been planted. When they went to check, they found I soaked from the rain, caught on a broken metal chain in a deer fence, and unable to move. Upon approaching, they saw that I was very tired and exhausted. They freed me from the chain and brought me to the roadside, where I eagerly drank water and ate some cat food. When the rescuer opened the car door, I got in on his own. I already had basic training and was neutered. The rescuer posted on social media to try to find my owner, but received no response.

MY PERSONALITY
Hi! I’m a very calm and clever pup. I like to use my paws to show what I want, and my slightly grumpy-looking expression makes me even more charming. I’m a Level 2 rescue dog, so I just need a little time to adjust when I’m in a new home, but once I feel comfortable, I’m full of love and affection!
MY SOCIAL SKILLS
· With People: I may be a little shy at first, but I will take treats and warm up quickly. I can be petted, and I have no experience meeting children under 13. You can lift me by placing an arm under my belly, and once I feel comfortable, I will show my belly.
· With Dogs: I will approach unfamiliar dogs to greet them, but I don’t play together with them. If another dog provokes me, I may respond, so careful supervision is needed when meeting new dogs for the first time. I tend to be jealous of other dogs, so I would do best as an only dog—this applies about 50% of the time. I’m generally fine with older, calmer dogs.
· With Cats: When I see a cat during a walk, I look at it out of curiosity, but I will follow along obediently if my person guides me.
ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY
I enjoy outdoor activities with a normal energy level, but I rest calmly afterward. I have plenty of walking experience, walk well on a leash, and follow my person closely.
TRAINING & HABITS
I don’t guard my food from people, but I growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating. I can get in and out of a car by myself, but I get car sick easily and drool a lot. I mostly go potty outside. Being a male, I’m likely to mark in new places.
MY IDEAL HOME
My ideal home would be a calm and patient environment where I can take my time to adjust. I would love a family or person who understands that I’m a Level 2 rescue dog and gives me gentle guidance and lots of love. I enjoy affection, quiet moments, and using my paws to communicate, so a home that appreciates my clever and slightly quirky personality would be perfect.
SPECIAL NOTES
I’m usually very well-behaved and take treats politely. When I’m eating, I might growl if another dog comes too close or tries to take my food. I’m very affectionate and use my paws to ask for pets and attention. I already know some basic commands like sit, paw, and stay. I eat on my own schedule. My food is always available, and I eat a little at a time when I’m hungry, so free-feeding works best for me.
