Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Molly of Bluffton, South Carolina! Molly is an 11-year-old Eskie with a heart full of love and a playful spirit that makes her act just like a puppy.  Rescued at age 4, Molly spent 7 wonderful years with her mom, who sadly passed away. Now Molly is looking for a new forever home where she can shower you with love and receive all the affection she craves.  Every time you smile at her, she wags her tail, showing her sweet and affectionate nature.  She's perfectly house-trained, loves car rides and playing with her toys.  Molly prefers to be the only dog in the household, soaking up all the love and attention. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who will bring a smile to your face every day, please complete and submit our online Adoption Application.   Why Molly is Special: Loving Personality: Molly adores being with people, whether men or women, and thrives in a home where she can be the center of attention. She’ll gladly be your lapdog if you let her! Playful: Don’t let her age fool you—Molly still loves to play with her toys and has plenty of energy for fun. Healthy: Molly is in perfect health, with no medications other than standard preventatives. House Trained: Never has accidents in the house and can wait long periods, though she appreciates regular outdoor breaks. What Molly Needs in a Home: Only Pet: Molly prefers to be the only dog in the household, soaking up all the love and attention. Fenced Yard: A safe, fenced yard would be ideal for her to enjoy some outdoor time. Leashed Walks: Molly loves walks but must always be on a leash—she’s a bit of a runner and will take off if given the chance. She’s got a bit of a sled dog spirit! Lap Time & Snuggles: If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy who loves belly rubs and will happily sleep in your bed, Molly’s your girl. Patience with Visitors: She tends to bark when the doorbell rings, so she’ll need a quiet room during arrivals to keep her calm. Other Notes: Medium-sized (17 lbs) with soft, white fur that needs regular brushing to reduce shedding. Molly loves her kibble and enjoys a special treat of chicken for breakfast. She’s good with older children but may be unsure around younger kids. Molly loves car rides but needs to be restrained to avoid any escapes when the door opens. Molly would make an incredibly loyal, loving companion in the right home—someone who understands her needs, keeps doors closed to prevent her from running off, and gives her all the love she deserves. Could that be you?  If you want to be considered as an adopter for Molly, please complete and submit our online Adoption Application. Reach out today to meet Molly and give her the forever home she’s waiting for!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!                                                       November 1, 2024, 3:49 pm

Story
BEAR: THE AKITA  If interested contact Jonathan Evans 540-521-1944   This ancient Japanese breed has been venerated as family protectors and are famous for their dignity, loyalty and courage.Akitas are quiet, fastidious dogs.  Although wary of strangers,Akitas will gladly share their silly, affectionate side with family and friends. They thrive on human companionship. The large, independent-thinking Akita is hardwired for protecting those they love.  (AKC breed description)   Bear’s personality is true to his breed.  He is 4 years old and was very attached to his former family until unforeseen and difficult circumstances made it impossible for his welfare to stay in their home. I am his current foster and have owned Akitas for years.    Ideally, Bear would thrive with a family that has experience with breeds of his type and who have the time and patience to bring out the best in him.   Due to his size and weight, a home with older, responsible children would be preferred.  He likes cats and gets along with other non-dominant dogs. A fenced in yard where he can stretch his legs would be necessary and beneficial to his welfare.    He has been neutered, vaccinated, has a current negative heart worm test, and is on heartworm and flea preventative. There will be an adoption fee.  We are located in Statesville, NC.  Please contact me to get more information about Bear by texting me with your name and phone number.    Jonathan Evans 540-521-1944 ##2132233##
