Story
With his mouth curved in a perpetual smile, 1-year-old Kilo is ever so kissable! Still very puppylike at 40 snowy white pounds, he’s sweet and sociable, loves snuggling and cuddling his foster mom, resting his head on her, having his belly rubbed and then dancing and prancing about. Once he warms up to other dogs, Kilo’s content in their company, and being agile and athletic, he enjoys staying active and especially enjoys going on walks, honing his leash skills along the way. Fond of stuffed animal toys and hard chew toys, and comfortable on car rides, Kilo not only thrives on routine, he’s highly intelligent and eager to please, loves any and all treats and is happily motivated by food. While he currently knows “come,” “sit” and “down,” he’s quickly mastering “shake” and “roll over,” and is crate trained and almost fully house-trained. Only just starting life’s journey, Kilo will bloom in a loving home, preferably with older children, and patient adopters to perfect his puppyish manners, continue his socialization, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him mentally stimulated and physically satisfied fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you.
